Saturday for Sunday

 Hi Everyone!

I hope all are doing fine.
We are having a slow day. Garden in the AM. Speaking with my kids on the phone and then, this. If you can't tell what it is, click on the photo, but it's Rice Crispy Treats. I haven't made this is decades. It's actually a kidney friendly food.
P.S. I can't stop eating it. LOL.
Grilled cheese one of my faves.  But I have to add a few things to the sandwich.
Yellow pepper, onion and mushrooms. Perfectly cooked.
Then for breakfast I took leftover roasted potatoes, (from my garden) mashed them up with some homemade ghee
Took the left overs from the grilled cheese

and scrambled some eggs with it.
The perfect breakfast.

Once in awhile we have popcorn. Yes, I make it the old fashion way.
 Turns out perfect every time.

After the sweet, the grilled and snacks. I get back to this for breakfast. The cucs are from my garden.

What ever you are eating I hope you are enjoying it.
Have a great day today.

Nicole

I love a grilled cheese with extras. We always call that a Sunday dinner grill cheese, not that you have to eat it on Sunday but it's special like Sunday dinners used to be. All your food looks so good, including the rice crispie treats. I haven't those in a long time either. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. hugs-Erika

I don't like eating popcorn but I used to love popping it on the stove for my son when he was small. Exciting food.

I just had my usual bowl of cereal for breakfast. It’s more comforting than boring.

It looks like you are enjoying your food. It has been so hot here this summer that I have avoided cooking except when I just have to.

I haven't had rice crispy treats in ages and loved them. And oh! Grilled cheese is my favorite. You have some great add-ins!

You're so right about rice krispy treats being addictive. Making them using fruity or cocoa pebbles cereal is an extra delicious treat! I think I might like these varieties better. :p

Mmm, grilled cheese sandwiches are so yummy! I haven't made one in forever. I was just thinking the other day that I need to make fried potatoes for breakfast. That's so good with eggs. I also make popcorn on the stovetop. Over the weekend, we had pancakes with maple syrup and turkey bacon. The pancakes were left-over stored in the freezer from a few weeks ago. We normally don't eat like that so it's always a treat. The cucumbers look good! Now, I'm hungry.
