FFO 7/18/25 drawing and AI

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)
This is the place to show off your faces or your face. Post any type of face from any medium. You can create it, or find it in nature, or even that face in the design of the
woodwork in your house.
Human, animal, alien, or monster.
ANY KIND OF FACE!

Before I get started with FFO, Blogger has been dropping people from my blog list. If you find that your are not on my side bar please let me know, thanks.

I'm so happy that I am drawing again. It feels like my place of peace and joy.
This week I have a graphite portrait. Oh what else. LOL I wish the sketchy part was a bit darker but you get the idea of how she was started.
She ended up like this. I really like this face. One day I will learn to draw hair. Oh I crack myself up.

I joined NightCafe AI art site last year but no time to really get into it. I do now and I'm having so much fun there. If you want to join in it's free and you can use this referral link
Here are some faces I created this week.

Creating AI art is more difficult because you must write a description of what you want. AI doesn't always get it right. I toss a lot out. However, sometimes AI goes far and beyond what was in my head. With drawing I can change things, add things, remove things with a drop of a pencil or eraser.  Which, I will show you just that  next week. I'm so excited about it.
For now let's look at some features.

Hey don't forget to link up with Gillena

That's it for me,
now it's time to show me your face.

I LOVE the lady you drew today. I love the eyes and the mouth a lot. You draw so very well.

You create amazing AI faces. They are so unique. You have a real knack for it.

Did you see my comment on plant identification?

As the AI-ones... I really must try to find time for this but the studies eat me up atm. Haha, say since February... Lame excuse. I am not creative enough!!!

  14. Thank you for the feature spot, Nicole. I feel honored amongst your talented artsy circle.I'm joining the community today and will do my best to make rounds. Your portraits are always so amazingly realistic. I would love to be at this stage. It's a struggle to get the right proportions of facial features but I do think I'm getting better. I continue with trying for a realistic look. I'm moving the right direction but the shading doesn't come naturally. I think that would help to achieve a more life-like character. All things in good time, I suppose.

AI is interesting to look at but I'm not ready to do anything with it. Maybe one day. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Thanks for hosting the fun. Have a doodletastic weekend!

  16. Wow that drawing is gorgeous. I don't like the AI ones with the holes though. Triggers my trypohpobia.

  17. Sooooo, maybe switch to just doing portraits of men and women who have chosen to shave head hair. LOL. Seriously, continue practicing hair, it will come as does all things. Current drawing is great.

  20. Dear Nicole,
your AI creations look absolutely fantastic! 🤩 But I’m even more fascinated by the beautiful face you drew by hand – especially those wonderfully sensual lips, wow! 🎨💋

As for your question about the blog list – I’m not sure if I was ever on it, but I couldn’t find my blog there now. (Maybe I just overlooked something?) Blogger does act up from time to time, unfortunately… 🤷‍♀️

Sending love and hugs from Austria! 💕

  21. I so much prefer your drawings to the AI, even if they are interesting in their own way. Yours have life and depth to them. :)

  22. I like how you give the face a nice greying complexion in your sketch. AI faces are trippy

  23. My computer is so old I have no idea how to do AI but your work is amazing. Also your sketch is beyond great and always love the ones that are selected by other artists.

  26. You really use AI in a creative way! It is interesting that you discard many of the images that you try for, and thus you are using HI (Human Intelligence) quite a lot along with AI.
