Friday Face OFF sighhhhh...

Blogger is not playing nice so FFO is early. Better than late.

Welcome To Friday Face OFF (FFO)

This is the place to show off your faces or your face. Post any type of face from any medium. You can create it, or find it in nature, or even that face in the design of you
woodwork in your house.
Human, animal, alien, or monster.
ANY KIND OF FACE!

I start this post with a huge sighhhh.. and not one of relief. The US is now a fascist county. The people of this country have no idea what is about to happen. Ohh it is already in progress. With the house, the senate and the supreme judges belonging to "him" we are screwed. I read and then fact checked that google search for how to change my vote spiked, especially in red states. Dumb asses. They knew what they were voting for, now we will all suffer for it.
If you live in a different country know that you are watching a history that will change the world. If you live in the US get prepared.
OK enough of that.
Another sighhhh... one of relief. I had to send Mr. M. to the ER by ambulance yesterday. His BP has been dropping and yesterday dropped to the point of him almost passing out. After many tests and hydration. It turns out that Mr. M. has an infection and was dehydrated. Seriously, the guy drinks 6 bottles of water a day plus other drinks. We finally got home with him feeling better and another dose of antibiotics. Can I say exhausted? LOL
We are doing fine today.
Now for some FFO.
Here is another face I drew while Mr. M. was in hospital. I noticed that the drawings I did in hospital are not great. Details not finished.
It is what it is though.
I found this site that sells bedding quilts.
 I love this

and this one

and this one

There are all kinds of quilt sets not just skulls and they are not all black.

Here are some features this week.

That's it for today. Now it's time to show me your face.

A dire future for your country lies ahead, of that you may be sure, but to claim that it will change the whole world is more than a tad hyperbolic.

So sorry to hear about Mr's setbacks and I hope it's soon resolved. And alas a lot of us do know what's coming, and what we can do to prepared we're doing. It's very hard. I hope you get a bit of rest.

David, I don't think I'm being hyperbolic at all. The world is connected in so many ways. Especially financially and trade. "he" is going to change all of that. "he" will remove us from the UN again and a so many other things that will change our world.

So sorry to hear you are still suffering so many challenges to your family. I wish your husband a complete recovery soon!
When I read your first paragraph, I realized that we are thinking the same thoughts but expressing them in different ways, and that my parallel post has faces — so I linked up because our thoughts are so close.

glad hubby is better today and may his healing continue Xo

Your portrait is excellent and very expressive ~ life is difficult sometimes and comes in waves ~ sigh

Also agree with your sighs ~ USA is getting dumber and dumber ~

Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Glad to hear Mr M is home from the ER with antibiotics. I like the glasses on the face you drew. The eyes are well done too.

Here in Canada, we are bracing ourselves to deal with another chaotic and malevolent Trump administration. Our economy is at risk because of his crazy policies on trade. NATO is probably doomed, along with Ukraine and climate change efforts. A news report today said European allies don't want to share top secret intelligence with the USA due to Trump's questionable trustworthiness re Putin. Trump is bad news for everybody, not just the USA.

It seems that you and Mr M just can't seem to catch a breather (healthwise.) I am glad he is home and doing better.
I like your "less finished" sketches.

I'm sorry to read about Mr M's setback and wish him a speedy recovery. Hopefully things will look much better soon on the health front for him. I do like you face even though you don't seem to be too happy with it. We're probably our own worst critics and see everything that is not "right". However, I doubt I would like to rest under those quilts...
I share your worries and concerns about the future of the US, but for my own sake I try to remain positive.

After what happened in your country a day later ours broke down. Smurf Scholz clings on being chancellor but "only" till January and then....?

On David´s "hyperbolic" - Orange will bring us all in trouble. Ukraine is doomed, with them we are, too. The customs... everything will get more expensive and our economy will fall even faster.

Ack. I am so sorry. I once was not able to bring Ingo to the hospital myself (he kept passing out) and had to call the ambulance, too. Neighbors watching it all.
Glad you are fine again!!
And your drawing is GREAT! As are the quilts! Why don´t we have this in Germany??? I know it from Australia, Mexico, Cuba, here.... nada.

I totally agree with you on the disastrous years ahead of us with huge changes. Sorry Mr. M was doing so poorly again. Glad you found out what was going on and he is doing better! What a roller coaster ride you two have been on. May you have some peace at home, at least.

...I drink lots of water and have low BP too. My best to the two of you. I'm not sure that I could sleep with those quilts. Be well.

Hi Nicole -- I'm sharing the veterans day post because you asked me to (even though there are no faces!) I'm glad Mr. M is getting better but that had to be super-scary. You two have had the roughest go of it these days and I'm so sorry about that. And, in full agreement with you politically. Every day it gets worse.

I read about that same Google search, and how dumb can you be. You can't change your vote, so think about it before you vote. It is going to be a rocky rocky road for the next 4 years for certain.Sorry to read the hubby needed to go to ER, but hopefully the antibiotics will get him back up and on the mend FAST. And your face today looks just like my daughter's mother-in-law. She's a very nice woman, so it was nice to see. :) Hope all continues smoothly for you at home. I won't say in the country because we know where that is headed. hugs-Erika

I think, I would not like to sleep in these beds with this sheets...
And I also hope, that this election will in the end not turn out as it now seems to be. I think only few outside the U.S. (at least here in Europe) can understand what drove people to vote for such a permanent lyer, misogynist, agitator.
Everyday there are news about his new team which makes me shake my head.
Nevertheless - have a good time and all the best

Your sketching is wonderful despite all you are dealing with. It is a chore for me to pick up a pencil or pen anymore so I am posting previous work that I liked a bit.

LA Paylor said...

we're having too many health issues here too and it's purely exhausting. Dehydrated with all that water! Crikey!
the quilts are so cool... the first one is my fave... you captured the glasses and attitude in your drawing
I'm bereft at the election results and still believe there was criminality there. Where are the 15 million votes not counted but the idiots who didn't research his lies make me maddest. Now they want to change it. I can't stand the idea his cabinet ruining our country, his taking over of military and law enforcement like a dicktator.
How many times did we have to say this isn't a normal election where all the candidates still care about the country?
ack, and our economy which was great, will fail.
he said all along he didn't need votes to win, and why not???

Yes, I understand your dismay and your anger. I had no idea that after 4 years of Trump and the way his first term ended, the majority of Americans would want another dose. People prefer a stupid male to a woman. But the fact that he also has both chambers in addition to the supreme court justices is overwhelming. On this side of the ocean, we're not there yet, but we're getting there slowly. I don't know what makes people so stupid. Here too we are worried about this vote. But big money, industry and capitalism are very comfortable with fascism.
Otherwise, I hope your husband recovers after these alerts.

I'm glad to hear that you and Mr. M. are doing fine, Nicole. You two have been through so much in recent months. No kidding you are exhausted! I think the face you drew is amazing, given all you were experiencing.
I fear for the future of our country, but no one can say they are surprised. The Orange Mango clearly said what he was going to do and openly associated with those he wanted to surround himself with. And you're right, the OM's election will have far reaching consequences, beginning with Ukraine and NATO, and the economy OMG.
I'll never forget Kristi Noem dancing with him onstage for 40 minutes at a rally, smiling and acting like she was having a ball. It definitely paid off! We're in for a rough and ugly ride, and I don't know if our institutions will hold up to the assault. The feckless GOP members of Congress enabled him from the beginning, and he's loyalty testing them with his push for recess appointments. Sadly believable.
No way you would get me in those skull-covered beds ~ lol! Have a good and relaxing weekend! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for featuring my work. I like your pencil drawing and those quilts are quite cute in their own way.

all of the quilts look nice, even if you are not a fan of skulls. :) Still. my favourite is the last one. The Horse.
