I'm writing this on Wednesday since Thursday Mr. M. has 2 doc. appts. in Eugene. Then another on Friday. I figured if I didn't get this done now it might not get done at all. LOL
Not sure what she is looking at but this is how it turned out.
I also whipped up this piece.
I haven't been into doing much, but it seems drawing takes me away from everything.
I think this is too pretty to eat.

Dear Nicole, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of Mr. M's medical appointments! I think it's great that you still have time to draw - and if it distracts you from your worries, that's perfect. I like your pictures very much. I think the woman looks a bit skeptical because you feel skeptical after your experiences with doctors. The man reminds me of the young Nick Nolte... Don't you think so? The cupcake looks really great and would be perfect for Halloween. (I know, for you it's always skull time, for me only around the end of October ;-))

Now that I am doing more drawing, albeit digitally, I find that I get lost in it also.
Love the eyes and hair in your first portrait, and the forehead wrinkles in the second!

great faces, with just pencil is so hard for me. I revert to color in some way!
as for the skull cupcake...Wowie! I couldn't eat it, so pretty but then the chocolate buttercream looks hard to resist
