T Stands for Bye Bye to the Barn

 Hi Everyone!

I'm joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for the T-Party. Come join in or at least see what's going on over there.

It's been a week. First the big beautiful tree had to come down and today the barn is down.
I was so happy that Jason, the contractor, let me run the CAT. OMG! I forgot how much fun it is to run big machinery.

Here is, what I call, the barn.
Here it is going down.

We have no front fence at all now and it will take time to get it replaced. I really dislike that, there is so much home robbery here for drugs.
Without the storage building everything is up against the side of the house. Oh well, the angels will protect us.... or not.
For my drink today I couldn't resist. I would love a coffee pot like this. :)

One more thing. It is lupus awareness month.

Also as much as I hurt exercise makes it better.

Wishing all of you good health.

Nicole

Happy Monday, Nicole! Looks like Jason did a great job of cleanup! I have never driven a piece of big machinery, so I'm impressed that you did! I LOVE that coffee pot! I remind myself when I'm grumbling about exercise that I should be grateful for the ability to do it. That usually changes my grumbles. Take care!

You didn’t make it clear if getting the barn removed was your choice or that of your landlord. I hope that eventually this demolition will turn out to be good for you!
Again, your postings about Lupus are very informative. I hope you’ll be in a good place soon with regard to pain and symptoms (I understand that the intensity varies, so I hope yours is soon low intensity).

best, mae

You look great in that big piece of equipment. Now that I've driven my husband's tractor, I get where you're coming from. And that barn came down pretty easy from the look of it too. Have a great T day. hugs-Erika

You make me think of My Rare One. Every time she saw a. big tractor or piece of machinery, she had to sit on it and dream of operating it, lol! I'd like a dragon coffee pot too, now that you mention it.

I was certified to run a forklift, but not a Cat. I think you look quite good in it. That was some undertaking. I hope your landlord gets a new fence for you soon.

WOW. I LOVE the dragon coffee maker. It is pretty awesome. I think I like the one with the purple wings best.

We had rain last night, so I wanted to work in my front garden and get it cleaned. After about 30 minutes cleaning in the new part, my fingers, hands, and feet were so swollen, I had to stop. I hope they find a cure for this debilitating disease, but I fear that will not happen anytime soon.

Thanks for sharing your lovely self on the cat and all the work you did to get the barn down. Thanks, too for sharing the dragon coffee pots. They are an awesome addition to T this almost Tuesday, dear Nicole.

I feel the same way about exercise. I could never be a hypochondriac because I am so happy every day to be fit and healthy.

The only “big equipment” I have driven is a forklift. I was 18/19 and had no training. I was working at a factory and that day I was assigned to help the in house garbage man. He told me to drive so I did. I remember backing into a pallet of something at least once.
I think the coffee pot is cool, too.

I love the dragon coffee pot pretty cool. Larry still has most of his heavy equipment-his toys smiles. is any of the wood from the downed building reuseable? have a good week

Yikes, that's a big project. I hope things will be all right without someplace to store them -- will the barn be replaced with a shed?

I want that coffee pot!
I'm very impressed of you running that big machinery. I have never done so, but I could be tempted into it. Why did the barn have to go? Will there be a replacement for it?

The power of the machines,
fell like a paper tower!!
I hope God protects you and you don't have a theft episode (my house was stolen and it's really bad).
I hope the fence will be replaced soon.
Have a great day Nicole!

Well done you for driving that CAT. I can just about drive a car, let alone big machinery.
Why did the barn have to come down? It looked ok to me, well at least you have some firewood. And yes, I too pray that angels will protect your property.
That coffee maker is amazing!
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Hello, Nicole, and happy late T-day. I have missed your posts - always so interesting. We have had to destroy a barn too - it was rattlesnake infested so they did a little burning, dug a hole, and buried it all. I am sure any survivors just dug their way to the top and I never go anywhere near them as it just feels snake haunted. How fun to see you in the equipment!

I want that coffee pot too. You are so talented, you could do a sculpture and attach it to your coffee pot without even trying.

All your health pictures are so true - people have no idea what pain others are going through. People judge my husband thinking he is always looking angry and disinterested, but his back and legs hurt so much it is all he can do to not scream every time he moves (or even if he is not moving). I know you hurt a bunch too and I am so sorry.

Many hugz
