T Stands for food

 Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all well fed, had fun today and there was lots of love in your homes.

Even though it is just me and Mr. M. we had all of the above.
As you know Mr. M. has been doing all of the cooking since I have been unable.
I can't be more proud of him. He hates cooking. So for him to make such great meals is a big deal.
I am not a fan of ham but Mr. M. found this beauty on sale for $6.00. It is a 7.5lb ham. Here it is out of the oven.
He said he remembered his mom putting cloves all over the ham and then he topped it with Mandarin Oranges and added the juice to the pan. I think it turned out great!
Tonight we had. Way too much food but it was all good.

Sweet Potato, String Beans, Ham and Mac n cheese.

Mr.M. Loves Ambrosia Salad so I told him how to make it.

He even made a few Deviled Eggs.

One night last week Mr. M. made waffles. Melted butter and hot syrup.

Then one night to my complete surprise, because he didn't ask for help. He went through my recipes and made sloppy joes and onions rings. All homemade. Sour cream on the side.

Can't get a burger in my town that comes close to Mr. M's. Cooked on the outside grill and done up right.

My Son and DIL always send something like this among other things.

 Inside the boxes.

The apples are sweet and the pears just ripe.

This is the best Carmel corn I have ever eaten.

Shaped like Christmas ornament texture of candy corn with great flavor.

These are chocolate covered blueberries. OMG good.

A package from my Daughter and SIL got caught up in Portland and should be here tomorrow.
Well that is it for now. I'm linking up with Bleubeard and the wonderful Elizabeth.
Be sure to stop by and join in.
Ohhh with all of that food there is not a drink. Early morning coffee.
Nicole

I'm glad you enjoyed your day, and we had a similar Christmas feast:

I provided corn and green peas, cranberry sauce, hot mustard, son arrived with ham, tricolor roast potatoes, ginger ale, eggnog, homemade cookies sent to me by his co worker.

I already had Turkish delight, chocolate hand dipped nut clusters (gift) peppermint bark (gift), Italian almond cakes (gift), fruitcake (gift). This is the result of having a birthday near Christmas, edible evidence!

Lovely day with son. I like the fruit gifts you received. And I thank your husband for taking such care of both of you.

A very big YAY to your Mr. M!!!!
I had to google sloppy joes, hmmmmm, yum!
Love when people send stuff you eat and gone it is ... great taste an no sitting on side-boards etc! I do that, too (and am sad I give it away, like real Italian olive oil that is not cherished even!, Aw, well).
Have a great T-Day!

Wow, for someone who doesn't care to cook, Mr. M appears to be quite the gourmet chef!

Outdoor grilled burgers are out favorite too. Nothing beats that.

Yesterday I cooked a Christmas dinner for Mom and me. I had a ham (9lbs, way too big) sweet potato casserole and a green bean casserole. Mom has had a cold and not doing well, but she ate a full plate of it. Yesterday afternoon, she seemed to improve a good bit though.

I am glad you had such good food.

OMG what a deal on that ham! Mr M is turning into a gourmet chef! Everything looks delicious. When I was a kid, one of my aunties used to make ambrosia salad on special occasions -- so sinfully good.

HE is making a stellar chef, isn't he. How kind and generous of him, especially since it's not his "thing". Your Christmas Day sounds like it was a joyous one. Happy T Day. I'll be joining you for coffee :)

Hapoy belated Christmas and happy Boxing Day. Your ham sounds decadent and was a steal. Your meal was amazing. Far better than my ramen noodles. Mr. M has turned into a real chef and not foul mouth like Gordon Ramsey! Your coffee looks perfect, too. Happy T day, dear Nicole. You are a real gem.

Your husband is amazing! I can see why you're so proud of him, just look at the undertaking he took to prepare such delicious meals. If you ask me, it looks like he might be enjoying this new task more than he's letting on. :)

I love making homemade caramel corn! It's absolutely the best I've ever had! Yum, now I want some but I'm not going to be making any, anytime soon so I'll just have to tough it out. :)

Enjoy what's left of this year and I hope 2024 bring you both good health and much happiness. xo
