Friday Face OFF 1/20/23

 Hi Everyone!

I am not sure how long this post will be. As most of you know I am trying to keep busy because it takes my mind off my numb face. I am so very disappointed in our medical here. It used to be excellent and now I consider it very bad. For me, being busy is moving. Cleaning house, making art, cooking. Today my face was extremely numb. The worst part is around my eyes. I have done research and just when I think I have found an answer, it's not what I am experiencing.  Tomorrow, which is Friday, I will be in an MRI machine. My appt. is at 6:45 AM so I am hoping to find something out by the end of the day. Then I can call on Monday to see if I can, at all, see a medical provider. I have what is called Patient Connect. As soon as results come in I can see them. Wish me luck. Again.

Oh, Mr. M. took me to the store today. I really don't want to drive right now. I got 18 pack of eggs for $3.75 and the egg section was full. I now have 4 cartons. YAY

I showed this 3 face bottle I stared last week. I did get it finished. I am keeping this one for me.

The birds I'm going to tackle next week. With a completely different technique.

Now it is time for our featured artist.
This week it is;

Now it's your turn to show me your face.
Post a face and link back to my blog. Add your link to Mr. Linky, leave a comment and then go see what others have created.
How easy is that?

Your condition is distressing, Nicole. I hope that the medical people can get to the root of it and put it right. I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be for you.

Wow, Ingo is trying to get a doctor today. My W gave me the name of his doc and I hope that if I get sick one of those will take me in.
We have the same problem with police here. People retire and no new ones want become doctor/police officer.
I wish you all the luck all goes well and you get help, Nicole!

Cool bottle, but the bird like totally steals the show!

Hups, bird ;-)

Good grief, Nicole. Last Wednesday I paid $5.25/doz eggs. I would give anything to have your kind of prices. Even the local farmers are charging $5.00/doz because the cost of feed is so expensive. No wonder you can afford an egg salad!

Your latest bottle turned out great, You were right that it does look completely different now.

I will be thinking about you tomorrow morning and hoping against hope they can determine what the cause of your numbness is. In the meantime, thanks for host FFO.

In your artwork, there is a lot of agony expression. I think facial paresthesia is an indication of 5th cranial nerve involvement particularly due to expansion or mass effect of syringomyelia. This is usually considered as a potential life-threatening emergency. At least, MRI is happening tomorrow. Hope you get the treatment you deserve.

I really hope you will find some help for your eye problems.

I like the bottle you share today and look forward to see what you do with the birds.

It is good to be an artist, isn´t it? I have some trouble reading nowdays and watching the screens. But creating art is no problems. Good!

your art with the bottles is amazing. the bird's skeleton reminds me of the work of a plastician artist who imagined the skeletons of Donald and his nephews

I hope that the MRI helps to give you some answers to your problem and leads to some relief for you.
That is a great price on eggs currently - although I long for the prices a couple of years ago, when I felt comfortable experimenting with recipes that use 4-5 eggs.

...what a smiley bunch of faces today! I bought eggs for $3.20 a dozen and thought that was a good price. Thanks for hosting the party, Nicole.

Bless your dear face! Yes, medical care is not what it was because everywhere the money people are in charge. The medical people no longer are. I hope this is something we can fix together

Hi, Nicole! I've gone back and read all your posts that I missed, but I'm only commenting here. I'm sorry that you are experiencing such persistent and perplexing face numbness. It's aggravating when you can't access the medical care you need. I hope today provides you with answers and access.

I've not been blogging recently nor visiting around. I was overwhelmed, and I just gave up. Now that I've arrived in Hawaii and have relaxed a little, I'm hoping to get back on track.

Hugs to you and wishing you health and solutions.

Your face bottles are looking great Nicole. Those 3 faces with the white "hair" look like they are from the Arctic. Or maybe I just have winter on my mind since it snowed today. Have a super weekend Nicole. hugs-Erika

My heart goes out to you ... numbness, though painless, is annoying and distracting to the point of anxiety. I am so sorry you are experiencing so many issues and what is worse that you can't get decent help. Are there any large medical centers (Mayo Clinic comes to mind) close to you? I know there is a Mayo Clinic in Arizona and I am sure there are others including, of course, the main Clinic in Minnesota. I certainly hope you are able to find some relief. And, with all of this, you continue to be creative (if you are anything like me, that is your Godsend) You are in my heart and on my mind, Nicole ...

Waiting for medical test results is difficult, and it makes it even harder when you have trouble getting the tests done to begin with. I hope you get good news.
