Firday Face OFF 12/30/22

 Greetings!

Can you believe this will be the last FFO of the year? Do you have any traditions for bringing in the New Year? For me, my entire house has to be clean. On New Years day we make sure to have a pork dinner with greens, black eyed peas, and donuts. LOL All of these things bring good fortune for the upcoming year.
I have been staying off the PC as much as I can do to my eyes. Since I have opted not to have surgery until some time next year, I had to get new glasses. The sad news is since my last eye surgeries I have not had to wear glasses. I didn't realize how nice it is not to wear them.  It will take 3 weeks to get my new glasses and until then I can't see well at all. So please forgive me for not commenting as I normally do.
Now for my face (s) for FFO. I have created some zipper art over the years but when I saw something like this made with keys, I had to do it with faces.

Please click on the  photos to see larger view.

These are clay faces I made and painted.

After the zipper is in place the texture is applied.

And a close up of the texture.

Since my eyes are not focused in I will now be sharing the featured artist.
This week the number generator came up with #16
This is Cloudia with Comfort Spiral and this is Pixie

However, to end the year I want to acknowledge and thank everyone who joined in with FFO. This is last weeks list, if I missed you from previous weeks, know that I so appreciate you joining in and hope to see all of you next year.

I am also linking up with Gillena
For everyone who passes this way, I wish you all the goodness, love, laughter, and prosperity for 2023

 Nicole
Now it is your turn to show me your face!

I am super impressed with the zipper technique you used on this bottle. They are incredible. LOVE how you incorporated it in the bottle. I think this is my favorite so far.

Have a fabulous New Year, dear Nicole. BTW, although she is no longer playing, you really CAN'T forget Barbara.

I wish your eyes get new glasses soon, and we can see your gorgeous art in the future, too. Your bottles are very unique and super!

This year my plan is to make it to bed. Still sick. Great holiday. And I can´t eat, but keep your choice in mind for next year!
Sorry about your eyes.
Is it nice to not wear glasses? I feel "naked" without mine, LOL.
I mean this as a compliment: Your faces remind of the movie Scrooged with Bill Murray :-)
"See" you next year, hopefully healthy!

Sorry to hear you have to wait for glasses. That must be hard. Hopefully you'll be able to see better once they came and while you wait for the surgery. I'm with you about a good end of the year/start to the new year clean. I'm about to start mine today. And this week's bottles are great. I love the cascade of faces. Happy New year Nicole. I hope 2023 starts off in a good way for you and continues that way too. Hugs-Erika

I have yet to get used to not wearing glasses. I still try to take them off when I go to bed. Ha ha. Although I do have a pair for reading and watching tv.

Zipper art ~ How cool, Nicole! I do hope your eye surgery works out well. Please be careful ~ Not being able to see clearly is challenging and frustrating. Take care!

I love your art Nicole, I used to make black eyed peas allot for New Years Day-maybe I will again for New Year's
Good luck with your eyes, as we get older so do our eyes-sigh we both had cataract surgery about 5 years ago that really helped, but both of our eyes are gradually declining again.
Thank you so much for your kind comments on my post hugs and Happy New Year to you and your family
Hugs Kathy

Hi Nicole,

I've just read the comment you left on my blog: Thanks for your kind words, Nicole! I am in Naples now, as my mother and my two sisters live here in South Italy. My two daughters will spend the New Year's Eve in Florence (North Italy).

As soon as your grandson visits Rome in March 2023, he can enjoy "crazy pizza" (which you saw in my post two weeks ago) ... it is located in via Veneto, which is one of the most famous and elegant streets of Rome. It's also a fun street art, as you saw in my post that I wrote on the 19th December.

May you and your beautiful family have a great New Year :-)
