Friday Face OFF 11/18/22

Greetings and happy Friday Face OFF

Yes, another week has flown by and next week is Thanksgiving.
The year is almost over.
As you all know I am very much into corpsing skulls. Here is what I created for this week.
This is a scream skull that I corpsed to look burned. Brown dolls eyes, the tongue is made of clay.  Painted with acrylics and pastels.

As Elizebeth would say get ready for photo over load. They are contained though.

I started with a glue base then painted it. This makes a nice crackle effect.

Once it is dry. Start the corpsing. Glue with water.

Add toilet paper and tamp in

 Overlap the TP

 Make it wrinkly.

Make it thicker in places you want.

 Leave some places open.

All some of the skin to hang off the face.

Use large and small pieces of TP

The second and third layers really show great texture.

 Build up the brow.

Work the other side but make it a bit different.

 Highlight the cheek bones.

 Add more hanging skin.

 Now allow it to dry.

It's starting to come alive. LOL

I love the wrinkel under the eye.

 Add some hair.

I attached this one to a wood stand.

I am pretty proud of myself for figuring out how to put the whisps of hair in. Oh, it comes from a real hair wig. LOL....
I'm getting a lot if nice compliments and interest in my skulls. I have one special order too. Happy day!
I found this oldie of my sweet sister and me. It was cold out with about 9 feet of snow. My sister had just finished a round of chemo. She stayed with us for awhile.

Now for something from our featured artist.
Today is number 4.
Check out all of her art. She is very impressive.
Everyone will be featured more than once. So keep showing me your face.

Hi, Nicole,
How kind of you to show my autumn girl, thank you Nicole xx
Your art is absolutely fantastic! You are a master of the style of skulls. Really amazing art. Thank you for sharing the sweet photo of you and your sister. You both are the beauty.
Enjoy the upcoming weekend and take care of yourself. I read this late about your stroke, and I am very happy, you are well again, my friend.

My word, Nicole, you really are the master of the skull. Toss one in a ditch and someone will call the cops - and have nightmares ever after! Given all the hair that has been cut off in Iran during the uprising it's too bad you couldn't have obtained some of that. It would have been very symbolic now that people are being threatened with death.

That skull came out amazing. It looks real Nicole. And that's a great old photo. I hope your sister made it through the chemo and the disease she had. Have a wonderful end to your week. hugs-Erika

I am SO sorry I was unable to join you this week for FFO. If all goes well, I will join you next week, though. Also, I'm sorry to be late visiting. I've been very sick and have mostly stayed in bed keeping warm with my cats.

Your Scream looks wonderful. Edvard Munch would be proud. I adore how you took us through the process. It shows how it came to life. This is amazing, a bit quirky, rather creepy, full of energy, and fun. I LOVE it!
