Friday Face OFF 9/16

 Greetings!

It's Friday Face OFF! Ya know the place where you link to my blog and Mr Linksy so everyone can see your art.
Any kind of face is acceptable in any medium. So join in the fun.
I am still working on the male face in graphite. I really love this guy.
So intense. Click on the phots for a closer look.

Most of you have seen my clay and resin faces. I sold a good amount of these at my show.

If you know I collect Fairies. This first photo is an art book on how to draw and paint Fairies. When I get time... ha ha ha. I am going to attempt to learn how to create these.

Love all of your faces, really good. The fairies are great, too. I'm just painting a dryad, it was one of our lessons at heart and soul. The cabs are great, too. Have a great day, Valerie

Your FOO man is gorgeous. He has some problem, I think, hope he solve it soon ;)
Great your sale went well. I visited your earlier post now, and left you a comment that late, sorry!
Enjoy the weekend xx

Thanks for the link to my blog, Nicole. Greatly appreciated. I would think that when you start to paint fairies you will have unlimited scope. After all, few people have seen them so your imagination will be able to run wild. Good luck!

Oh, you would love the flaming heart Ingo presented me with - it´s from the fairy´s world!

I really enjoy seeing your works in graphite. This fellow seems to be quite perturbed about something that he is seeing.

I am once again late to the party. Sounds like you had a great show. That is good news.

Your male is amazing. I like the intense stare he seems to have. There is a lot of emotion there. And I look forward to seeing your take on fairies, too.

Thanks for hosting this fun event, dear.

Hi Nicole. I’ll be back for Friday face off next week, but stopped by for a catch up. That IS one intense face. But very nicely done. 👍. The best thing about faces is all the expressions they can take on. I hope you’ve had a good week and are finally feeling better. Hugs Erika

Intense, yes - but such a capturing face. I'm not surprised that you love this guy.
For some reason I have never been into fairies, but when I look at the ones in your post I'm thinking of elves (and wonder whether there is a difference?). Elves of the Tolkien kind - I really like those.
You picked a very good one for this week's featured artist. I enjoy David's blog so much.

Nicole, that face is the best!! May your talent continue to grow. I, also, can’t wait for fairies….you should do well with them. It takes imagination and that is what I’m short on, but you have in abundance. Press on. Donna Z

Well, it will be quite a jump from the intense look of your male portrait to the dainty dancing fairies ... but I have no doubt that you will master your fairies if for no other reason (other than you have endless talent)than that you love them. My sister, when she was alive, did a lot of Fairy art including making little figures out of clay. She taught in head start and at a local grade school and the kids all loved her Fairies. Love your choice of Featured Artist this week ... I learn so much from David. I think everyone should follow him. I studied your face wondering how you captured the intensity of his look and I have finally decided it is in the brow and eyebrows ... Awesome job, Nicole :)

your faces are fun and I am glad you are finding they are popular to sell. What a nice idea to share other blogs - I didn't know you did this and it was fun to visit someone new, thank you :)

What happened to the linky for FFO. It is definitely missing, Nicole. Is that another blogger glitch?

Your man's portrait is definitely full of emotion, really intense. "When I get time... ha ha ha." Boy can I relate to that, Nicole! I'm looking for faces for Friday. I have one for sure. Have a good one.
