Movie Monday

 Hi Everyone!
Before I get to my movie, I want to share that Thursday we made our trip to Salem for Mr. M's doctor apt. Then shopping at Costco and Winco. OMG!!!! the prices are just about out of touch. I know we are all feeling these price hikes. Then Friday we drove to Eugene. It takes 2 hours to go 70 miles due to the POSs tourists. It is a 2 lane hyw with not very many places to pass. There are pull outs for "slow drivers" but not many use them. Anyway, I have yet another spine doctor. The one I had 2 weeks ago doesn't take my insurance. It's a blessing in disguise. I really like this doctor and hurray he is setting me up for the injection in my spine that I have been trying to get for 3 years. For those of you with back trouble you know what I am talking about.
Now for the movie. I was waiting for a series on Prime with Sissy Spasic and JK Simmons. The series is,"Night Sky".  I was so waiting for this sci fi to air and it starts out pretty good. However, by the second episode I was getting pretty board with it. It is very slow but I will say an interesting premise. I will give it another try later this week. If you are watching it let me know what you think.

Have a great Monday.

Nicole

Hi Nicole, I was also interested in this series, tried the first two episodes and gave the third one a chance, but that’s where I deleted it from my Favorites. Too bad, the two lead actors are excellent, and Sissy Spaces is a favorite of mine, but the rest couldn’t hold it together. The premise of the story was exactly what I usually like, but this was not for me…boring! A shame!

ah the joys of tourists, bring in money but also are a pain to get around and often a road hazard

My husband and I were all set to watch Night Skies because we had seen preview clips that looked interesting. My husband got through the first episode, but I don't even remember any of it. I thought I was going to watch it, but I was sound asleep before they even got through the credits. I think they may have started speakng, sometimes that puts me to sleep, so now I have to find a time to watch it before my husband and I watch the next episode together (if I can stay awake.)

I was a big fan of Better call Saul before the Covid Break, but now it is like I am watching a completely different show and characters. I usually end up watching about 5 or 6 minutes and I am sound asleep. I can't imagine what is so different about the show or myself that I can't even get interested, Maybe in the time between their last episode a couple of years ago and now, either the characters or I have changed so much that now it is just a disconnect for me now.

Glad you got a new spine doctor who's getting you that shot right away!

I haven't seen Night Sky yet. I have read a bit about Sissy Spacek's part in it, but nothing about the plot. I may try an episode today or tomorrow.

Glad you got your spinal injection. I don't watch many series so don't know this one. Have a great day, Valerie

I too have back problems, so you have every drop of sympathy from me. I don't want shots or surgery as long as I can stand and walk fairly well. My doctor changed my Lipitor to Crestor and it has actually helped my back some. I too have Night Sky on hold after one episode. Not sure I will go forward either. Let me know how it goes for you if you go back.

Nicole,

I can't tell much from the trailer on Night Sky if it's something I'd like but I will certainly check it out since we have Prime. Thanks for sharing!

The economy is really bad and the prices are horrible. I hope how soon this all turns around for the better again. Best of luck on treatment for your back!

Hi Nicole, sorry I just deleted history. It sometimes takes me out from account. Thanks for the comment💓

I will have to try to watch this. Good actors doesn't mean good to watch sometimes. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Nicole, I meant to wish you well with back injection results. We have both had an injection with a spine doctor, my husband for sciatica and me for a very painful neck. They worked very well, hoping your result will be the same!

I'm glad you have a new doc you like but how frustrating to have to switch because of the insurance issues. I hope all went well with the injection.

That's great to hear the new spine doctor made you feel better, Nicole!

Prices are rising sharply also in EU countries. It isn't easy to buy fishes, fruits & veggies. We can see that this combination of epidemic, arms race and energy shortage may be dangerous from an economic point of view. In this context, I am afraid the 0.1% richest people will become richer and part of the middle class will disappaer.

Have a nice new week, Nicole :-)
