T Stands for Flippen Wind

 Hi Everyone!

Today is the T-Party over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's. My T stands for the flippen wind. I have started my garden much later than the last 2 years and was hoping for some half way decent weather. I made a small green house for lettuces, and radishes. The wind howled all night with 60mph gusts. I woke up, in part, to this.

What a mess. All the lettuce and radishes are ruined.
I spent 30 minutes in the pouring rain picking up around the yard, fixing the garden and locking things down. The wind is still blowing and tonight will be bad again. Hopefully next week we will see some sunshine.

In the meantime I created this head stand with clay beads I made and of course the head. It looks so good on my shelf.

Now to get into the T-Party. I have been treating myself to the ICE drinks. I really love the flavors. However, some of them are very sweet, so I cut it down with sparking water.

Hope everyone one has a lovely day.

Nicole

Very sad to see your wind-swept garden all tumbled around. I hope your spring is soon better. We still have quite cold temperatures and little swirls of snow.

aw, what a shame about the garden. Your headstand reminds me of primitive art from Mexico or Peru. Very cool! Happy T day!

We love the ice drinks too-no salt and no sugar. I found a new case of them that I hadn't seen before-lemon lime and just lemon-very nice.
so sorry about your plantings-that is heartbreaking. Missouri gets some wicked wind gusts here too-it's especially pretty crazy sounding now that we are on the lake.
Love your latest art pieces-you are very talented Happy T Kathy

Autumn came back here, too, by golly, I felt like Mary Poppins yesterday!
But Spring must be on the way, right.
I tend to start dancing to your "totem" for that (hello, head you, I think you can bring Spring right to us all).

Happy T-day and a great day all in all to you :-)

I had an ice drink yesterday and felt it was too sweet - I am definitely going to try your suggestion of cutting it with sparkling water.

So sorry about your garden - hoping for warmer and friendlier weather for us both (it is supposed to be tornado weather here today).

Love the face and the beads. I picture this face as being very wise.

Happy T-day and hugz to you Nicole.

We had wind last week too. I thought I might be able to get out in the yard, but not with the wind. And I must say, that is a cool totem you created with beads and the head. And a nice drink too. I hope your wind settles down and you can do a bit of gardening without any issues. Have a wonderful T day. Hugs-Erika

What a mess. I can totally relate as I had to pick up a few pots yesterday and I had to straighten the tarp that is (hopefully) keeping the bamboo at bay. I couldn't believe how those heavy pots and bricks were knocked around. I can empathize because you picked yours up in the rain and I waited till the rain was over.

That's a nice new face. It reminded me of a totem pole. I also like Ice. I found it I fill the container with tap water after I have finished the drink, I still get the remains of the drink for a second time. Thanks for sharing your gardening disaster, your face, and your Ice with us for T this Tuesday, Nicole.

So sad about the damage the wind did. I hope you can recover some of the seeds or plants. The face is very cool.

I'm so sorry about the damage by the wind. That is some crazy wind! We had heavy wind here the last few days as well, but not as wild as what you have experienced. I hope it will calm down soon and you can go back to gardening without that kind of damage.

Great artwork! Your water looks good. Sorry about the wind damage. We are having up to 50 mph winds today. It was difficult when driving! In Kansas we are always windy, it seems. Sorry for the lateness. Have a great rest of the week.

I like your head stand, but I don't like the wind either - it's so destructive isn't it. So sorry, RL got in the way, and I am terribly late. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
