Hi Everyone.
Before I get into food I want to answer some questions about the Tens Machine. Mine is very old. I think we got it in 1994. Today Tens Machines are digital and cost a lot less. You can get them in most drug stores for $40.00 or more. Amazon has them for less expensive. So what does a Tens Machine do?
Transcutaneous electrical
nerve stimulation (TENS) therapy involves the use of low-voltage
electric currents to treat pain. A small device delivers the current at
or near nerves. TENS therapy blocks or changes your perception of pain.
Most importantly it works. My arm is healed.
This is mine, old but still works.
You can adjust strength and pulse.

I really like pot pies. Homemade or store bought. However, I wanted to make pot pie without crust. Can I say OMG good!
These are chicken, potatoes and carrots canned from last year. The peas are frozen from last years garden too. |
Defrost peas in cool water. |
With a bit of butter in the pan heat up potatoes and carrots. |
Once heated through give a rough mash. |
Add the chicken heat through then add the peas. |
Make a poultry gravy. |
Spoon out some gravy on the plate. |
add a helping of pot pie mix. |
Then top with more gravy. |
You can add any other kind of ingredients, like onions, celery, etc. Also any kind of meat or go vegan with firm tofu. |
Now what would a week be without pizza?
You will need
2 packets (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
and 1 1/2 C warm water. 2 Tbs sugar
1/4 C oil plus a little more to brush the bowl.
2 tsp salt
4 C all-purpose flour. Plus a little for the work surface.
Pour 1 1/2 C warm water into large bowl: sprinkle with yeast and let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes.
Wish
sugar, oil, and salt into yeast mixture. Add flour and stir until a
sticky dough forms. Transfer dough to an oiled bowl the turn over so
both top and bottom are oiled. Cover bowl with plastic or a T towel and
set aside in a warm draft-free place until dough has doubled. This
should take about an hour. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface
and gently kneed 1 or 2 times. Roll out and place on pan to be cook on.
Add your pizza ingredients and bake in 450°F (233°C) Bake until dough
is brown around the edges and ingredients are hot. In my oven this takes
about 15 minutes.
Enjoy!
Nicole

I was so sorry to hear you hurt your arm. And I had no idea about TENS units, other than I thought they were surgically implanted units; I didn't know they could be purchased and used so easily!
I love the idea of putting gravy on the plate first. It makes a very nice presentation. And of course pizza! Always a favorite.
It's a great relief to me to hear that old things still work!
...a Tens Machine is new to me.
But crust is the best part of pot pies! At least, mine LOL.
I also love potpies. I've never made one mostly because my husband doesn't like them. Why, because all the ingredients are mixed together. But I love the idea of a crustless one. And yours looks very yummy. One day I need to try making one. Thanks for idea. Glad to hear the arm is better also. Hugs-Erika
Your crustless pot pie looks good. The crust is where all the calories are, anyway.
Had to laugh at your pizza. If I want a pizza, I'll get Scott to get me one at Aldi. They are so cheap, they are just a bit more than the cost of the yeast you had to buy. Sorry, Nicole. I'm a lazy cook, not a good cook, like you and Kathy.
Forgot to mention, thank you for explaining the TENS machine.
I love your pizza! Delicious crustless pot pie too.
thanks for sharing about device dear Nichole ,i have had heard about it but did not knew much ,how nice it can heal ,sounds great to me .
your pot pie is superb and mouthwatering lol,i want to taste it right away
i am little confused about oil measurement if C stands for cup here this seems huge amount of oil for a pizza (my opinion) ?
hugs and blessings to you my talented dear friend!
Hi Nicole wow I am hungry now everything looks so "good eats" I would love a crustless pot pie so I will need to make us one of these. My Mom would bake up pot pies allot for us kids-and way back in the early'60s the stores would sell really good tasting pop pies for around 1.00 or so and your pizza looks soooo good too I need to bake us up some pizza soon. My husband has been looking at small wood fired pizza ovens this month so many different types but he found one with wood not propane and it has a door to the oven many don't have those. sounds like a fun new "toy" haha
thanks so much for explaining the Tens machine I appreciate that. My husband who is in constant pain all the time also has other medical concerns being he recently needed a new heart valve transplant so I will need ask his doctor about this. he takes no pain pills
thank you for linking up and sharing for food wednesdays
I remember TENS machines from my pregnancy days, very helpful.
The pastry-less pie and pizza look so good!
Thank you Nicloe for the pizza recipe.. I'll be giving that a try!! I grew up eating alot of potpie.. My mom would buy those cheap ones 3 for a dollar.. The cheap ones were the best. and the best part for me was the crust.. Your crustless pie sounds interesting and looks delicioius! Happy Food Wednesday!! Hugs! deb

What a nice pizza! Actually, we also have pizza at least once a week.
Delicious crustless pot pie and healthy ingredients in the recipe! I'll try it next week, as this week we have typical food of Easter time.
I would have never thought of such old thing still working.
Enjoy tbe rest of this week !
We love pizza, too, but I'm often too lazy to make my own pizza dough and get the fresh pizza dough from Trader Joe's instead. I think it would be more fun to make my own dough. Next time.
Boa tarde Nicole. Difícil escolher o prato mais gostoso.
we keep forgetting to buy a tens machine, would probhelp both of us
Sounds great, thanks for sharing! Valerie
We have a smaller version and luckily I didn´t need the machine is some time (knock on wood!)
Hmmm, your food looks good!
Sadly Ingo is not into Pizza but I have a ready to go dough for next week!
I actually have a type of Tens (which I'd call a thingy, not a machine because it's very small- about the size of an older Ipod). I do like it but I'm sure the bigger and more powerful ones work much better. I'm especially on board with your pizza today:)
Linda, mine is very small too. Fits in my shirt pocket.
Your crustless pot pie looks good and your pizza delicious.
So pleased your arm is better.
All the best Jan
I've only ever had those little frozen pot pies but not in a long time. Yours looks tasty!
