Hello and happy Wednesday.
I am joining Kathy today for food Wednesday.
The other day it was very cold, windy and just a good day for some hot chili. I guess you could make this some kind of Mexican soup but as you all know Mr. M. doesn't like soup so I keep it thick. sighhh....
|
I made this meal with my homemade canned goods |
I do rinse the canned ground beef. However you don't have to add meat at all. |
|
With a bit of oil in a hot pan add onions and peppers. |
Once sauteed add the meat and chilies |
|
Stir and then add taco seasoning or your own seasonings |
Add beans |
|
Add corn and tomato sauce. If needed more seasonings. |
Serve with sour cream and cheese. |
|
|
|
These are basic cookie dough with crumbled biscotti in the dough.
Be sure to stop by Kathy's to see more food.

Good morning, my husband's favorite kind of foods-always a good feeling to cook with our home canned items. Happy Food Wednesdays

ReplyDeleteMmmmmm, chili!
ReplyDeleteYum on both counts- well, except that I would use plant based hamburger crumbles in the soup:)
ReplyDeleteMmm the chili looks really good! Especially with a dollop of sour cream! I need to make some. I used to just dump everything into the slow cooker and it was so easy, must do that again! ☺

I love those red beans! That Mexican soup would be perfect here now, as the weather is still cold and rainy. I would like to have your cookies at breakfast 😊☕🍪
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Wednesday, Nicole!
Chili is wonderful! I love to make it - it's so easy, almost like, put it in a pot and forget it.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy. And you're right, a little sweet after spicy food is always the best choice. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteJmmmmm! Sour cream and cheese - I sure will follow your recipe next time. In fact, on my list as suggestion for the weekend, we didn´t have this in ages!
ReplyDeleteI am always open to soup/stew/chili, even in the hot summertime, and yours does look tasty.
ReplyDeleteIt is very cold here today and that soup looks mighty fine.
ReplyDeleteBoa noite Nicole. Nunca comi comida mexicana. Deu muito água na boca e vontade de experimentar essas delícias.
ReplyDeleteLovely post for Food Wednesday ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Good grief. I'm running behind and I get an error (a Whoops). Trying again, but don't remember what I said before. I wonder how meatless chili would taste. I think you are an excellent cook who loves to cook, too. I want a cookie, please.
ReplyDeleteOh yum-this is sooo good looking. My stomach is growling (it really is!)
