TAD and 24 for 29 faces.

 Greetings!

The theme this week is, despair. Just turn on the news for 2 minutes and see that the whole world is in despair. What is the meaning of this word. Despair is a very intense feeling of hopelessness. The feeling can be describes as a mix of misery, discouragement, anguish, agony and distress. Sound familiar in this day and age? This has all led to a disruption of hate, violence and chaos against one another. Seriously, what a terrible subject. LOL I have no art for this word. So, here is a piece from
jaceridley's Deviant Art found on Pintrest.

Now enough of that. I just want to be happy and positive. I was able to get two trays of clay pieces made yesterday.

Well you have to click on this to see they are embellishments for dolls and wall hangings.

 Faces drying

 Clay beads some need painting.

Remember this creature? He now has a body.

Here is his back. He needs hands and paint.

My flat faces start like this.

Then they get some added clay features.

Once dry a coat of gesso and then the first coat of paint. This is my face for 29 faces.

Be sure to stop by
BY EAGHL to see her 29 faces.
Have a great day!

Nicole

Lovely clay faces thanks for showing your process. I know despair is not a pleasant topic.

Interesting pictures of your work in progress, Nicole!

Collective dread here in EU, due to the fact that this morning Russia began a full-scale invasion in Central Europe ... while the Covid-19 epidemic hasn't gone to an end yet.

Giorgio, I hadn't turned on the TV when I wrote this post this AM. I don't even want to think of how far this will go. My heart goes out to the Ukrainian people.

I would imagine that the people of Ukraine could provide a pretty good definition of despair.

Yes we need to find ways to be happy because we are surrounded with despair in every corner of the world. So I am in favor of your happy place ... love your clay faces. What will you do with them when they are finished? Be positive and stay well, Nicole. We need more people like you in our world.

artists have more sensitive heart so i can only imagine what you are feeling right now after watching all news ,i could hardly see highlights which i found heartbreaking and disappointing. how sad and bad that in such enlightened times there still exist such ignorance that can make people invade each other . i used to be grateful that times of ignorance are gone long ago but i was wrong sadly .
your effort to stay positive is admirable my friend because for spreading goodness and positivism one has to adopt it first .

hugs and blessings!
