T stands for day 8 of 29 faces

 Hi Everyone!

Today is T day and day 8 for 29 faces.
The days here have been simply beautiful. Each year, for the past 5, winter have been shorter and shorter. I will see what the spring rains bring but for now I am in garden mode. I notice that my neighbors are as well. Today I will get more seed started. I also have to get a few more items made for my upcoming show. At least I am busy.
So day 8 for 29 faces.

Now for my ticket into the T-party.
In the early 1950's my mom owned a coffee shop in the main streets of Sacramento. Many years later the area would be called, "Old Sacramento" As the capital of California grew and grew and grew. Anyway, I can't remember why, but for some reason I was at work with my mom early in the morning. This memory is so vivid in my mind. Mom was pregnant, with a light green print apron making bacon and eggs for a couple. Mom poured coffee into a cup and asked me to take to the man. "Don't spill it, it's hot." she said. I carefully walked the coffee to the table and set it down. As I walked away the man said, "Wait" I turned and he handed me a 50 cent piece. I ran over and showed my mom. Wow! .50 cents back then was a good amount of money for a child.

Be sure to stop by Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover to see what all the
T-gang is doing.
Also, if you haven't stopped over at BY EAGHL to see here drawings for 29 faces then  you are missing out. She is drawing the cast the Yellowstone.

Have a great day everyone!

Nicole

Hi — I just looked back at your week of face drawings, and I enjoyed every one of them. I think your technique is getting better and better, and each one is so beautifully themself, individualized, personal. I hope you have a good week.

I really LIKE this sketch. I was so impressed with your memory and that man who gave you fifty cents. Back when that was REAL money. Probably about the time of those coffee ads, which I absolutely adored. Thanks so much for sharing your latest face and those lovely ads with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole.
