Hi Everyone!
Today I am joining with 29 faces and
Come join in, see what everyone is cooking.
Food first. Most of you know that pizza is a mainstay in this house hold. I mean come on, you get everything you need on a pizza.
I do make my own pizza crust and for us it is the best. I have some blogging friends who have tried it and think so too. For supper bowl I made this for dinner.
This one has a bit of pepperoni, onion, orange bell pepper, and olives. Now if you want the flavors to come out more take the veggies and blend them in a food processor so they are in small pieces. Drain any liquid from the veggies. This makes a better pizza too.
Once the dough is ready roll or toss to size. Place on baking sheet and add pizza sauce, or Olive oil to the crust. Spread a thin layer of grated cheese. Add the pepperoni and another thin layer of cheese. Add the veggies and then a generous amount of cheese. BTW I use 3 types of cheese and season it with Garlic salt and Italian seasonings. This adds all the pop you need.
Pizza dough recipe.
This makes 2lbs of dough and can be frozen.
2 packets active yeast
2T sugar, 1/4C Olive or Grapeseed oil.
2t salt, 4C Flour I use all purpose. Extra for work surface. Warm water for yeast.
Pour 1 1/2C of warm water into a large bowl, then sprinkle with yeast and let stand until foamy. About 5 minutes.
Mix, sugar, oil and salt into foamy yeast mixture. Add flour and stir until a sticky dough forms. Transfer dough to an oiled bowl, flip the dough so both sides have oil. Cover and let stand in a warm, draft-free place until dough has doubled, about 1 hour. Turn out onto a lightly floured work surface and gently knead a few times before using. If your dough is too sticky add a bit of flour to tighten it up. Roll or toss into shape. Bake at 475°F until the dough is golden and cheese is bubbling.
Enjoy.
Now for 29 faces. I have a new clay face that will be painted today.
This is the wrinkly old man. 2" tall by 1/1/2" across. He is almost dry. Then, will be sanded any carving that may be needed and the painted. Gesso goes on first. The faces from small to large are used in many different forms of art. From beading to doll and even in journal pages.
Now be sure to stop by BY EAGHL to see what she is drawing.
Have a great day
Nicole

You should make a face on a pizza for next Wednesday's post!
Your pizza looks delicious. My husband makes pizza from scratch, too, and it beats any other option :)
Good morning Nicole, thanks so much for linking for Food Wednesdays. we love pizzas too and I only make homemade as well, the gluten free crust for me has been a challenge though. I love the way you prepared the veggie toppings-never would have thought to do that.
great face!
have a good day Kathy
I love your pizza, make it all the time. Cute face.
I was inspired yesterday to bake my famous Banana Bread. Made two loaves and my kids stole one. LOL I could never make a pizza like that from scratch. You did great!
I thank you so much for sharing my attempts at the 29 FACES on your blog. Your work is so great and I am embarrassed and honored for you to share my crazy work.
...it looks like a yummy day at your place.
Fabulous post, stay safe! Valerie
Delish sounding and looking pizza and fun face creation ~ Xo

I am in love with your pizza dough. Sadly, yeast and I don't get along well. I could tell you stories that would curl your hair.
That is one unique face today, Nicole. Bigger lips to kiss you with!
Your pizza looks yummy. I have some dough in the fridge that I made that I need to use. Pizza is a mainstay in my house too.
Once again I'm here to say thank you for the lovely comment you left on my blog. I've been looking at all your faces and they're superb, your drawings of faces are great. I'm afraid I won't be able to try your pizza as my cooking has gone out of the window along with my age. Take care - and your kindness page is excellent. Although I have to say that I've been shown a lot of kindness in the past couple of years, maybe because of my age. Hazel x
Your week of blogs has been wonderful -- I don't know how I got so far behind, but I just read them all. Each of your face projects is fascinating and very individual and expressive. I totally appreciate your skill and creativity. The man with a beard was great.
Pizza is one of our favorites also. The dough recipe I used for years was quite similar to yours, but in the last few years, my husband has been making sourdough bread, so he now makes sourdough pizza dough. We tend to use very few toppings to showcase the crust more these days, and sometimes also make white pizza with goat cheese topping.
I will try to keep looking at your faces every day!

i so liked the face ,it looks intriguing
loved the pizza recipe specially your advice to thin down the veggies sounds solid ,i will try this as i found your pizza perfect with nothing to disturb the yummy bite lol
hugs and blessings!
A good homemade pizza is a treat. We don't have it often but when we do it's quite wonderful. A glass or red wine or two washes it down perfectly!
Another wonderful clay face, and the pizza looks delicious!
