Movie Monday

Hi Everyone!

We lost our power for a bit last night with the high winds. Everything is on now and the wind is only about 20mph sustained and it's raining with flood warnings. I am so glad I don't have to go out for any reason today. LOL
Yesterday, as I worked in my art room, I wanted to watch and old movie with Robbin Williams and Toni Collette. It's called, "The Night Listener."  Made in 2006.
Gabriel Noone (Robin Williams), a writer and host of a late-night radio show, begins a phone correspondence with Pete (Rory Culkin) a teen who claims to have survived a nightmarish childhood. Though Noone becomes close to the youth and his mother (Toni Collette), Gabriel must begin a harrowing search for the truth when questions about Pete's real identity begin to surface.
There are other underlying stories in the movie and I find the connection between Robin Williams and Toni Collette is riveting.  I own this movie and Netflix advertises it but I couldn't find it.

Have a nice day today.

I haven't seen this movie but I read the book it is based on, written by the popular gay author Armistead Maupin. I should try to find this movie and watch it!

We watched a good new movie on Netflix this weekend, called "The Power of the Dog" with Benedict Cumberbatch and Kirsten Dunst. Highly recommended!

It's a DVD only on Netflix. I saw it and thought it was pretty good. :)

I checked out the trailer for The Night Listener and it looks SO good! I can't find it anywhere to stream in Australia apart from YouTube. I've noted it down and will keep a look out for it.

Stay safe and a very Happy New Year to you! xx

That movie is entirely unfamiliar -- I guess I have not followed new films very carefully for a long time. Sounds good.

I love that movie! Toni Colletti is very unlikeable in this movie, which makes her such a good actress doesn't it? Great movie to watch on a wintry night!!

I cry just to see Robin William's face. Can't believe he is gone. I definitely will try to find this movie. Thanks!
