T Stands for a Real Winter

Greetings from Frozen Oregon!

It has been snowing off and on for the last 2 days. Yesterday, was pretty amazing for the coast. Most of my adult life I have lived in heavy snow country and anywhere else this wouldn't even count as a snow day, but here on the Oregon coast.... yeah it sucks. LOL
I did have to go out in it yesterday and I was surprised to see how most people were staying home. The streets were pretty bare. Fine by me.

It is below freezing now and in a few days rain. Just a strange winter for the beach.
I made pizza dinner for Christmas
and it was so darn good.

For some reason I have been craving Mango. Yeah, who knows why. It's not like you can even buy a mango in my town. So I found this drink called,
Sparkling ICE. It is a combination of Orange and Mango
and the taste is pretty good.

I have more faces drying. I think because my house is so cold it takes a longer time for the clay to dry.

Well that's it for me today.

We always lived in the upper midwest near the great lakes so winters could be brutal When we retired we chose sw missouri as they have all the seasons but the winters are usually not so bad-every few years though we get a rough one.
I made homemade pizzas yesterday-I make a regular crust for my husband and gluten free one for me-then I freeze allot of it for later-yep sooo good smiles
I love seeing your art-thanks for sharing with us.
Happy T hugs Kathy

It's amazing that it's been so warm here and I have been wearing shorts and sleeveless tops all weekend. I can't believe we are warmer than you at the coast. I like seeiong snow, but prefer seeing it from afar.

Your pizza looks good, Nicole. I bet it tasted good, too. My friend Sally bought a case o of Ice and I still have one I'm saving. A tip I found by accident. After you have finished the drink, instead of washing it out, fill it with water and there will still be a taste of the drink in your water.

Thanks for sharing your snow, your faces, your pizza, and your Ice with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole.

What a beautiful pizza!
That combination of Orange and Mango seems interesting. I have never seen it here in Italy.

Funny, here we can get 6-8 inches of snow and people still go out. I guess we are just used to it, and roads gets maintained fairly well. I look at your photos and it looks ok to me. It is what we get used to, isn't it? Your pizza does look delicious. Now I want a big slice. Hope you're having a warmer T day, but I think the news showed there would still be bad weather in the northwest. Hugs-Erika

Yummy looking pizza, I love that drink, and the clay faces are amazing. I even love your snow - none of it here in the deep South so we are jealous (even though a light dusting would shut us down). Stay warm my friend and Happy New Years and T-day!

Traditionally snow has been part of winter here, and it has to be a really big storm to keep people in. Those winters seem to be a thing of the past, however, and snow has become a scarce commodity. Pizza.....hmmm.....gotta talk to Miriam about making the dough!

The weather seems to have gone completely bonkers. Other T-Gang members report an unusually warm Christmas. Weird.
I'm so glad you are selling your masks.
Yum, your pizza looks delicious. I think I'll join you.
Happy (belated) T-Day,
Lisca

The snow is pretty but I don't want any, it has also been below freezing here, probably too cold for snow, but now suddenly 10 degrees warmer - weird weather! The pizza looks delicious. Mangoes are quite high in potassium so maybe that's what you were craving. Your faces are looking very interesting now they are painted. Warm Winter Wishes and Happy T Day Elle/EOTC xx

Nicole,

I love homemade pizza! I'm making one for our new year's eve celebration tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to it, too. I don't know if I've actually eaten mango but I have had it juices. Correction, I think I vaguely recall buying a mango many, many years ago. I'm fairly sure I didn't do a good job picking them out and no doubt wasn't ripe enough but then it's hard to get good store bought fruit. The snow looks pretty coming down. We don't get too much in our neck of east Tennessee and like you that's fine by me. It's the black ice we have trouble with which I absolutely hate. I'm thankful DH doesn't have to commute to work anymore. This keeps him safe from bad roads and crazy, stupid drivers. Y'all have a wonderful new year's eve and may blessings abound in your life in 2022, my friend!
