Roads closed again

 Hi Everyone!

If you follow my blog you know that last week just 25 miles from my coastal town there was snow on the only road out of here going east. It was a mess and an accident that was fatal did happen. After 2 days of that it began to rain and rain and rain. It's still raining and not expected to stop for another week. Now, I am fine with the rain, we need it. The snow is in the mountains where it belongs, however, on the Oregon coast, due to so much strip logging we have huge mud slides. Well, that happened on, you guessed it, Hwy 126, the only road out of here going east. This happened about 10 miles from my town of Florence. Coincidentally, the mountain that slid was strip logged this summer.

I am so thankful that we don't have to go out
of town right now.
Life on the coast.
Wishing all of you the very best day.

  5. Wow. You would think they wouldn't allow strip mining as those sound like they can cause a huge amount havoc. Stay dry.

  8. I hope things get better soon and that no one gets hurt. There is so much weather related worry going around. So very unsettling. I, too, am glad you can stay in. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your Holiday Season.
