Good Monday Morning.
Today is Movie Monday. Since we are having snow, icy wind, and crazy coastal weather, Mr. M. found some strange and wonderful movies to watch this weekend. Both movies have to do with young boys. In fact the first movie is called,
"The Boy"
Staring one of my all time favorite actors David Morse.
and his son is played by Jared Breeze.
Here is the nice explanation of the movie.
In the summer of 1989, nine-year-old Ted Henley and his father,
John, are the proprietors of the Mt. Vista Motel - a crumbling resort
that is buried in the mountains of the American West. Since Ted's mother
left, John has drifted into despondency. However, the son, Ted, is a messed up crazy little boy that will go to any lengths to get what he wants.
We watched this free on Tubi.
The second movie is, "The Fields" with the great
Cloris Leachman, also Joshua Ormond and Bev Appleton.
This movie is based on true events and I like when that is advertised. Ya know an extra thrill factor.
This movie is about the corn field. Now let me just say that in the movies, when there is a corn field you know things are NOT going to be good. LOL
This corn field holds lots of secrets.
"The Fields" is a 2011 American suspense thriller directed by Tom Mattera and Dave Mazzoni. The film is touted as being a
"semi-autobiographical account" of what happened to Harrison Smith, the
film's writer, as a boy growing up on a grandparents' farm on the
outskirts of Easton, Pennsylvania
We also watched this free on Tubi.
Enjoy the movies.

The Fields sounds great, must see if I can get it over here! Have a great week, Valerie
...it sounds like great weather for staying in and watching movies.
My Rare One and I are going to watch a Netflix movie this afternoon called "Freedom Writers" -- I hope it's good!
Thanks for sharing.
I don't know either of these films, but thanks for the recommendations.
All the best Jan
I'm not familiar with either of these. They'll go on the list, thanks!
