T Stands for A little bit of everything

Hello Everyone!
Today is T stands for a bit of everything.
Come join in or visit the T-Gang over at Elizabeth's

Yesterday was our trip to Salem. Yay the terrorist
Uh I mean tourists have mostly gone home. The roads were pretty much open and we made good time.
Here in Florence, the grocery store shelves are starting to be empty again. I thought for sure in the big city the stores would be OK. Costco was out of many items that we get each month and Winco was low on items as well. I did manage to get the very last case of pint canning jars.
Can't find jars or lids anywhere in my area.
So while I was waiting for Mr. M. while
he was in his appt. I drew this.
Drawing these creatures is a great way to
hone in on your shading skills.

I also made some Cayenne sauce. These are from my garden. This sauce is so hot that a pin head taste was
WOWZER HOT! in my mouth.
But sooooo good. This is not canned,
just stored in a canning jar.
Also we are having Jalapeno poppers tonight.

 Cayenne sauce

 Jalapenos for poppers

To get an invite to the T-Party here is my drink.
Early, still dark, the house is cold.
Shadows of my sleepy morning
Starts my day, fills me with warmth.

Enjoy your day

Yes, there seems to be food shortages and workers everywhere.
Your creatures look great! I might try some of these to practice my shading. Glad you shared.
Your sauce sounds delicious.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Terrible to be running out of supplies in the stores like that. I featured your pizza on my blog today! https://cmlk79.blogspot.com/2021/10/nicoles-pizza-recipe.html

It's crazy how things are not on the shelves again. If you were closer I'd share some lids as I bought lots of canning jars early since last year I couldn't find any, and then this year I didn't have as much to can from the garden as I hoped. I hope it was a happy t day Nicole.

I am late visiting because my electricity was out from shortly before 5:00 p.m. last night for around 19 hours. My apologies if you think I had forgotten or was ignoring you.

I like your quirky alien drawing, Nicole. It is well done.

When we lost our water on Thursday, bottled water was gone from every store in town within 5 hours. It's amazing how people can hoard when they fear a shortage. The stores started limiting cases of water after they realized what was happening. We have three universities in Wichita and they each have dorms. The kids had no place to boil water and no way to store much.

Both your jalapenos and cayenne sauce sound far too hot for me. I would need something to drink if I ate either of these. Thanks for sharing your drawing, your canning, your hunt for supplies, and your hot drink with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole.

Great sketches. I love hot peppers. You're lucky you have them growing in your garden. (Without a fence, my plants get eaten by the deer.)

I love super hot stuff too - so yummy! Hubby ran out of tomatoes making his spagetti yesterday and added in hot Rotel tomatoes. He didn't realize it until the grandsons came to dinner and they were a little shocked. He was too. LOL! I loved it!

Hope you find some jars. The empty shelves are starting to scare me again. I see less and less trucks on the road too.... good thing you have canned a lot of things.

I love your drawing!! Very fun eyes and head shape!!!

Happy T-day! Great shadowy drink picture and words!

Looks to me like your shading skills are well honed. Get ready for more shortages though. The whole world supply chain is in turmoil.

Alas it seems there are various food shortages everywhere...
good to relax and take your mind off it a bit by sketching. Fun creatures.
Jalapeno poppers- yes please, but you can have all the hot sauce;) Happy belated T Day!

We have a lot of empty shelves in our stores, too. I hear these supply problems are going to get worse in the winter. Bummer.

Fabulous sketches! There are a few empty shelves in the shops here too, it's going to be a tough winter.

Here in the UK our supplies can be a little hit and miss, it seems the worlds supply chain is having difficulties at the moment.

I like your drawings.

All the best Jan

Cayenne sauce sounds hot - what will you use it for? Just little drops in meals for more heat and flavor? I've noticed that some items are not available, I guess it's due to the shipping issues we're having (or better, not shipping...).
