Garden Saturday

Good day to you!

I can hardly believe that it is Saturday already.
 My week flew by.
As most of you know this is my second year as a gardener. The weather this year compared to last year is completely different and a totally a new learning curve. Caring for plants, that provide food and beauty, is truly an amazing experience.
Good weather, bad weather, I don't care I love my garden.
What are you growing this year?

I couldn't grow these last year.

 I love this

 Look at these beauties.

A box of Red potatoes harvested this week.

 This morning in my GH

Yay I have 3 plants with cucks

There are 20 tomatoes on this plant

This gray container has a new batch of potatoes.

 New batch of curly lettuce

 Spinach

Peppers in the GH

 Cabbage

We have not seen the sun in one week.

 Flowers

 Sunflowers over 6' tall.

Even with no sun the Sunflower has a bloom start.

And every year these flowers come back.
PS. I do know that with the marine layers we have everyday, no sun, that the UV rays do come through for my garden.

Have a great day everyone!

  4. Sunday already here.
    Wow, your garden is great!!!
I still have but "green stuff"!. No change. But I cannot rip it off, I´d feel too sorry... (and yes, that´s dumb. I´m lazy, too, it´s too cold to enjoy being outside...).
    Have a happy, yummy day!

  6. Having a garden and growing flowers and food in it is really great luck! And yes, I've been gardening for almost twenty years and no year / no weather situation is like the other. This year I am growing tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, Swiss chard, various salads and herbs, turnips, cabbage, carrots, parsnips, pumpkins, peas, beans ... (But I think the beans and parsnips don't want to grow this year .. .) And we also have fruit trees and bushes: apples, cherries, rock pear, raspberries, currants, strawberries ... (We had a good currant harvest and made delicious syrup, yummie!)
All the best from Austria - have fun with your garden!

  9. You are SO lucky. My ONE tomato plant got eaten by something, maybe the bunny I saw hopping through the tall grass. You have a cornucopia of great veggies and beautiful flowers, Nicole.

  10. Think you're an awesome gardener, Nicole. 😉 It sure is an amazing experience. It usually pays off beautifully. If not, it's still nature's decision to be that way. 🤷‍♂️ Yeah, I'm really liking all of your plants & flowers! 💚💛

  12. Great that your garden is so productive - I've only managed a single tomato (I have to fight a bird or possum to get the bounty. Not seen my rival, just the restuls)
