Greetings Everyone!
Hopefully you read my post yesterday and saw this very cool flower that has started to bloom from the bottom. I was so anxious to see what kind of flower it truly is.
I took this photo yesterday at around 7AM.
I had a doc. appt. at 9:30AM, it was very short and was home by 10:AM. I pulled the car into the back yard and as I walked around I saw that this flower had bloomed in full force. I was so excited! I ran into the house to get my camera.
Can you believe this is a poppy?
I had to stand in front of it to block the sun
Here it is at 4:30PM. If you click on the photos you can see the pink at the bottom.

I love this flower.
Also, for those who commented about the flowers on my tomato plants this early, is because I have them in the greenhouse. Last year, I had tomatoes outside and they did not fare well in my Oregon coast weather.
Last Thursday we drove to Salem, OR. While I waited in the car for Mr. M. to get his doc. appt. I drew this person. Just someone out of my brain.
Have a great day today.

...a beautiful poppy.
Oh, the “strange little dudes” that inhabit your brain. He looks like a Munchkin out of costume. Lol. The poppy is lovely, amazing how fast it bloomed!
I love poppies! They're such beautiful and delicate blooms.
Gorgeous flower, so beautiful. Love the fun drawing, too. I got my second Covid shot today! Valerie
Hurayyyy, I am so happy to hear that Valerie.
I love your poppy! I never see them around here.
Boa tarde Nicole. As flores são maravilhosos, parabéns pela excelente matéria.

I love poppies!
Nicole,
Usually, we see poppies planted in the medium along the Interstates around here. It's really breath-taking to see such cheery little flower heads greeting us in our travels. It's cool how stray flowers wind up in our yards, isn't it? Nice sketch of the dude - very realistic.
Wonderful macro photo of the blooming poppy ~ and neat sketch ~ very expressive ~ Xo

I love poppies too. I've got some yellow ones out at the moment and my big perennial pink ones are in bud.
Gorgeous poppy! OH, and I love your imaginary person drawing...he has real character...well done!
P.S. - I'm back blogging after a long absence so just dropped in to say HI.
Stunning poppy!
Your strange little dude looks like he is up to something--lol! :)
ooh such a pretty colour for the poppy 😀
Hi Nicole, I was just about to say it looks like a poppy then I scrolled down.. My favourite flower of all such a shame they do not last too long. I have a random poppy growing amongst my garlic, not sure where it has come must have been carried in by the wind, I hope it comes in to flower. That's a great sketch love that side way glance.
Hugs Tracey xx
It's amazing that bud turned into a gorgeous poppy. Wonderful indeed. Also great that you took time to draw this little guy. You make great use of your time, dear.
Living for that garden of yours! 💚💛
Have a feeling you drew that dude well, even though I don't know him in real life. 😉
