It's a catch up day

Happy Wednesday to all of you.

Here is the finished piece of art from yesterday. This is no where near what we were suppose to paint in the class. I have it in my brain, that blue is so difficult to work with. My Nan, when teaching me about colors, told me that blues float. That blue in any shade can be difficult to bring down on the canvas.
Plus blue is just not any where near my fave color.
So I just finished it the way I wanted and hoped for the best. LOL

Since I missed posting for Movie Monday I will share one that I watched yesterday. It is one that I have seen the title of and thought...hmmm I will pass. However, I saw part of it on the Sci-Fy channel then went to Prime to watch it from the beginning. Ohhhh, I am so glad I did. "The Circle" stars Tom Hanks and Emma Watson so how can you go wrong with that? The Circle is an all encompassed social media group that is totally invasive into privacy. Some of the technology is in place right now. There are several countries that have test programs going that will change our world.....again.
This movie has a great story line and then end results is actually what should happen in real life.
Mae Holland (Emma Watson) seizes the opportunity of a lifetime when she lands a job with the world's most powerful technology and social media company. Encouraged by the company's founder (Tom Hanks), Mae joins a groundbreaking experiment that pushes the boundaries of privacy, ethics and personal freedom. Her participation in the experiment, and every decision she makes soon starts to affect the lives and futures of her friends, family and that of humanity.

Today, if it stops raining, I will harvest potatoes. However, right now it looks like no sunny skies for me.

I adore paintings of the ocean...nice work, Nicole! Sea blues and greens are among my favourite colours. I love purple too. :)

I've had The Circle in my Netflix list for a long time but now that you have explained it in more detail, I will be sure to watch it soon. The Social Dilemma documentary made me very wary of Social Media as I mentioned in a recent post so this movie sounds very interesting.

It sounds like the potatoes will have to wait a little longer. We have had rain overnight and a cloudy day expected...more rain tonight if the forecasters have it right. :)

Enjoy the rest of your week,
Serena x

Well, I know I love the painting, Nicole! Looks good now. 💙 While I've seen so many movies with Tom Hanks, I didn't with Emma Watson, because I'm not really crazy about her 🤷‍♂️ Also, the movie does sound kinda interesting! 🙂

Nicole,

You did a beautiful job with your painting of the ocean and sky. I love the wispy rippling waves showing the movement of the water - lovely and peaceful! As for the film review and trailer, I'm not sure if it's something I'm interested enough to watch but definitely know this sort of thing is happening now. Google is the worse for snooping on you, as is Facebook. I try to not give either of these platforms an opportunity to pry into my life. I switched to Duck Go as my search engine and I'm rarely on Facebook anymore. I'm sure there are others out there but I'll do what I can to keep busybodies' noses out of my business. The government would really love to have an eye on every aspect of our days and are all too eager to use these sources as means to do just that. One's private life is just that and should stay so. Thanks for sharing!

I like your blues. They look plucked straight from nature, and I'm imagining myself walking along that shoreline. I'll check out that movie, thanks! Privacy is a vanishing thing.
