T Stands for Muffins

 Greetings!

Today is T for Tuesday over at Elizabeth's blog.
Be sure to stop by there to see what the T-gang has been doing all week.
I did a drawing of a blogging friend Luiz that lives in Brazil.
He emailed me a photo of himself and I did my best to make a likeness. BTW if you want to see the beauty of his country you need to check out his blog.

Other art is on the table but I am slow to finish it.
This week Mr. M. got spice muffins. I have mentioned before that he doesn't like raisins. So I put those little tid-bits in my muffins only. These are huge muffins. Mr. M. is on a roll with bringing home new mugs for me. I think one or two of you have this mug also.

This last week I wanted soup. Sooooo.... I took leftover veggies from the fridge, 2 types of frozen squash from last years garden, onion, celery, and some home caned veggie broth and tomato base and made the best green soup.

I think it is the best soup I have ever made.
Do you make home made soups?

Wishing all of you the best day.

I save vegetable scraps (like celery tops, parsley stems, leek leaves, etc) and sometimes meat bones to make stock, which then goes into vegetable or bean soup. It makes me feel virtuous to use up what would otherwise be compost or garbage.

Very good drawing likeness! Funny, I also cleaned all my veggies out of the fridge and made the same soup a few days ago. I don’t cook a lot and haven’t made soup in ages, but we needed to use up some vegetables. None of which I’ve grown, however, but it was good!

Nice drawing. You did catch his likeness. And those muffins and soup look delicious. I wish my hubby ate raisins and veggie soup. Life would be easier cooking wise. And nice mug. he is on a roll isn't he? You could have a whole new collection soon if this keeps up, and lots of T day posts too. Smile. Hope you're having a great T day Nicole. Hugs-Erika

Really nice portrait!
Your muffins and soup look delicious. I love making homemade soups but haven't done much of it since we started a meal plan. We eat the same 7 meals every week. But whenever I have soup I wish I made it more often. It is a very comforting meal.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Pretty good likeness of Luiz! I could go for one of those muffins right now.

Doing sketches from photos is a good way to really see what you are drawing isn't it? I like the sound of your soup. We frequently eat soup in the winter, not so much this time of year.

The last soup I made was a disaster, it was so salty. It was ham and pea, I didn't add any salt so it must have been a very salty ham.

You did a great job with that sketch, Nicole. I love that new mug you got. Not seen one like it here. Those HUGE muffins look wonderful, too. I make soup when it's cold out. I also save veggies that are left over and potato broth to create my soup. Yours looks wonderful.

Thanks for sharing your drawing, your muffins, your soup, and your new mug with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole.

Boa noite Nicole. Sem palavras para descrever a alegria que eu tive em receber o meu desenho de presente de aniversário. Mais uma vez te agradeço Nicole do fundo do meu coração.

I'm with Mr. M on the raisins--LOL!
Good likeness. I envy anyone who can draw people!
Yes, I make homemade soup a lot. Leah makes me homemade broth, too.
I am so spoiled. ;)

Great portrait and I love the mug! Though, well... I have moved. I grew up in a small town I could not get away from soon enough. And now it´s nearly "dead". My Brother still has his shop there and struggles a lot.

Yum for the soup! I still have 2 darn portions of beetroot soup I made. I somehow need to pimp it - an idea would be welcome!

I think you drew Luiz very well! 👏🏻 The muffins are lookin' good, as well! 😛 Yum! 👅

Sounds like it was a great veggie soup, as well. 💚 I make some kind too but, probably not as good as yours, honestly! 🙂

Love the drawing (his blog does have some beautiful things), love the muffins, love the soup, and love the new mug. I love making soup, but forget it is an option often as hubby wants tons of meat in his.. Lovely post and happy late T-day!

Wonderful likeness of your friend. The mug and muffins pair well. Homemade soup is the best though getting too warm for soup now. Happy T Day

That's a very good portrait of Luiz, and reading his above comment, he is very happy with his birthday present.
The muffins look very delish and the soup makes my mouth water. Yes, I always make my own soups. But since my hubby is having the chemo and can only drink warm things ( a strange side effect is that he has to avoid touching and drinking cold things. Even room temperature is sometimes causing him problems.), we have started buying ready made broth and cup-a-soups as I can't keep up.
Belated Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
