Monday Movies

 Greeting!

I hope all of you had a very nice weekend. I watched a few movies that I had forgotten about.
The first is "Z for Zachariah"
an adaptation of a posthumously-published
novel by Robert C. O'brien
("Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh"). The movie is about 3 people trying to restart life after nuclear disaster.  I thoroughly enjoyed this film for the story and the actors. Chris Pine, Margot Robbie and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
I watched this on Amazon Prime but it is also on Tubi for free.

The other movie I watched and was captivated by is "The Woman in the Window". This is a psychological thriller with an all start cast. With Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Jennifer Jason Lee, Gary Oldman and Wyatt Hawn Russel. Yeah Wyatt is Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel's son.
If you like this type of movie you will love the twists and turns and the outcomes. Amy Adams is an agoraphobic and it goes from there.
Seen on Netflix.

I know a few of my readers don't have Netflix but did you know you can get a 30 day free trial with them?  As long as you cancel a few days before the 30 you will not be charged for it. BTW the base price for Netflix is $8.99 a month.
That is it for me this morning. I have a garden to tend to and then some art to finish.
Have a great Monday!

I've heard of these but not seen either. I'm currently watching the recently-released new season of Castlevania.

Wyatt Russell just starred as "Captain America John Walker" in the Disney/Marvel miniseries "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier." It was the first time I've seen him in anything and he was just excellent. Apparently, before following his parents' footsteps into acting, he was a professional hockey goalie (not NHL though).

I don't know these films!

Happy gardening and hope you get your art finished.

All the best Jan

I've not heard of either of these films. Netflix should pay YOU for promoting them. I wish I had time to sit and enjoy a movie or two about now. Have fun gardening.

Netflix will be no use here - we get everything translated to German and I hate that. You have fun :-) and a nice day!

I've actually seen Z for Zachariah on TV last year, I believe. It's from 2015 so, it's possible. Well, I've watched a part of it... Interesting plot, that's for sure! 👍🏻 Not into Chris Pine. I don't mind the other two. Still only watched a few minutes of the movie, though. 🤷‍♂️ What I've seen is kinda too slow, honestly. And just not my cup of tea.

The Woman in the Window. OMG! I've watched it a few hours after it came out! 😛 Yeah, I've been waiting for that one for ages. Almost. 😜 It was supposed to be released back in 2019! So, we've had to be patient for, like, 2 years. Crazy. 😏 I gotta say, I've enjoyed it. I mean, it's freaking Amy Adams and Julianne Moore in 1 movie. Love 'em! 💛 Also... I've seen Wyatt Hawn Russell before, but... Didn't know his last name(s). Totally makes sense, I kinda see the resemblance, too! 👍🏻 Thought I've seen him in something before and, after Googling, looks like it was Ingrid Goes West, an unusual modern movie. 😏

Btw, I've finally took the time and gave Stowaway a chance anyway. I remember you writing how you didn't like it, but... I like the cast, and I didn't know the story so, I went for it and, it had my attention 100%. Some parts were so hard to watch, and of course, I guess I know why you (and probably many other viewers) dislike the movie. I don't mind it, it's not all that bad. 🤷‍♂️ I think it's something pretty realistic, it could happen in real life. 🙂

Oh my, I wrote a book this time around, haven't I?

Bye, Nicole 👋🏻
