T stands for Tuesday

Hi Everyone!

Burrr it's cold this AM 30° F. I have to go out today and you all know how much I love that, NOT!
Today is T stands for Nature. I am joining the T gang over at Bluebeard and Elizabeth's. Come see what everyone is doing.
I was going through some older photos and actually had forgotten about these. Before covid, Mr. M. and I took a short trip, about 15 miles, east out of Florence. Did you know that beginning at the California/Oregon border, and extending through the north end of Vancouver Island is the "seasonal rain forest zone". The major tree species here are Douglas fir, western red cedar, Sitka spruce, and western hemlock. However, with climate change, and less rain, we get less rain forest. Believe me I can't imagine how it was before I moved here 15 years ago because we get A LOT of rain. It is always wet here. But back to the trip. This is a place that runs along the Siuslaw (Si-OOs-law) river.
It's really pretty, tucked into the mountain. This is also one of the places that burned this year with all the fires we had.
I am glad I have the photos.

And it was pizza night. Mr. M. doesn't like any kind of sauce, so half is rubbed with grapeseed oil and my half has pizza sauce. Also Mr. M. doesn't like mushrooms so my half has that added goodness.  Also my drink to get me into  t-day is hot coco and toasted home made bread.

Have a great day today.

The food looks delicious, and I'd gladly join you :) Pizza is a good choice for allowing people to have what they want.

What a beautiful location! Lovely wooded trails... Nice!

What beautiful forest! Tragic that it burned.

Lovely photos, Nicole. What a shame that the fires destroyed all that beauty.

I'm with you on the pizza. I love mushrooms extra cheese and lots of sauce on mine.

Happy T-day and a Happy (Improved) New Year! Hugs, Eileen

Wow, fabulous photos! Haven't had a Pizza might for ages - any will do for me as long as it doesn't have meat on it! Happy T Day and Happy New Year, Chrisx

What beautiful photos. It's good you got them when you did, because now the area must look SO much different. This must have been a fantastic, peaceful place.

It's been well over a year since I've had a pizza. Now, even a store bought one sounds good. It's great you can find a way that both of you can share the same pizza. And your cocoa and homemade toast look as wonderful as they sound. Thanks for sharing your incredible photos and your meals with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nicole.

Nicole,

It's been really cold here in the mornings but thankfully it got into the upper 40s today. I won't complain too bad after having temps in the teens (at night) over the weekend. What a lovely trip! This is my kind of place to visit. Mmmm, I love pizza! Mr. M doesn't know what he's missing out on by leaving off pizza sauce, does he? Both of us are allergic to mushrooms but I never cared for the taste of them. I don't like the consistency and they are rather bland. To each his/her own, right? Speaking of pizza, I'm making focaccia bread pizza for our New Year's Eve celebration. :) I even make my own pizza sauce, too. :p I have my sketch done for Thursday so I will link up for the art date for sure. ;) Have a great evening, dearie!

That pizza looks delicious, I haven't had one for a very long time. I did try a ready made vegan one which wasn't too bad.
Your scenery photos are beautiful, it looks like a lovely landscape.
Keep safe and warm,
