Hi Everyone!
4 years ago I had some dental work done. lupus is quite hard on bones and teeth. This last March a filling came out of a tooth close to the gum line. It was a small filling. Since our dental offices were closed at that time due to covid, I got some temporary filling from Amazon and went on my way. The temp filling started to crumble so I called my dentist and got right in. I was a bit worried about safety but I didn't have to be. The girls were all dressed down as if for surgery, the receptionists were completely behind glass and masked up. When my dentist came in he was in a head to toe in a rubbery like suit including the mask. He told me that dentists know how to protect themselves and patients learned from the 1980's for HIV. No novacane needed and the filling was fixed in less that 15 minutes. The kicker, the bill was $170.00. I about fell out of my shoes. The first time he filled this tooth the bill was $89.00. That is my bitch for the day. LOL
Now for something positive and happy. I signed up for a free pastel classes. FB has been flooding my feed with all kinds of advertised classes, I have signed up for a few of the free classes and have liked all of them. Anything I can learn is a plus. I don't do too much in pastel
but I do like working with them.
If you are on FB do you sign up for any of the art classes? If so which ones?
If anyone is interested here is the first video. It is quite basic for beginners.
No this is not my work. This is the instructor Scott Hale.

...I've been to dentist once during the pandemic and I feel that they did a great. job.
Sorry about the teeth, thanks for shaing this video.
Although the bill wasn't good, I'm pleased your visit to the dentist went well.
Enjoy your art.
All the best Jan
I've been to the dentist twice- my crown fell off and needed to be fixed and then I got my teeth cleaned. My dentist was so geared up that she didn't even look human-smile, but I did feel safe. Glad you did too. The class sounds fun!
I need to get my teeth cleaned, but that scares me. Glad you had a positive experience except for the bill.
I watched the video you shared. I have the gloves, I have an easel, and I have pastels. I have NOTHING else he suggests, like the board or the charcoal and I can't draw anything (nor do I care to unless it's abstract). It was fun to watch, though. Good luck with your pastel lessons.
You sure can shake hands with my hubby.... He´s getting another crown and thanks to Corona he has to live with a tiny, unstable alternative for two weeks.
Brrr, I feel with you two!
I'm glad you were able to get the dental work done. I haven't signed up for any art classes. That instructor's art is nice, shows depth I can almost reach into.
Sorry about the price, but I am happy you're all fixed up! Thanks for sharing the video! Big Hugs!
