T is for Eye Surgery

Hi Everyone!

I am happy that I can get in on T Tuesday with
Bluebeard and Elizabeth.
I will be off the PC and blogging for the next few days. Tuesday early morning is my eye surgery. I am so hoping this one goes as well as the one I had last month.
Today I got more of the heavy lifting done around the house and painted another shelf.
This is the shelf that I had before Mr. M. built that larger one. I was going to use this small shelf for something else when it dawned on me how well it fit against one of the fridges and facing the pantry.
So I painted it this morning and it is perfect.

I can't tell you how much I love this color it's called, Prairie Brush.

I did start a new painting. It is left over paint off my pallet. Not sure where I will go with this but I like it so far.
And as I write this I am treating myself to my best oatmeal, cinnamon and cardamon cookies. They are so soft and full of spices. Most of you know I drink gallons of water everyday.
For me, a cup of hot water is very soothing.
I will see all of you in a few days after my eye heals a bit.
Be Safe out there.

Good luck with your eye surgery tomorrow. I truly hope all goes well. Your painting is starting off beautifully. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I love abstract art.

Your newly painted shelving is beautiful and it looks functional, too. I'd love to join you for a wonderful cookie like that. I've never had hot water before without something in it, but if you enjoy it, I think that's great. Thanks for sharing your shelf, your painting, and your cookies and water with us for T this nearly Tuesday. Again, good luck with the surgery.

To answer your question about my eye. A month or so ago, I was edging my lawn and a rock flew up and hit me in the eyeball. Serious damage to the eye. I wore a patch over it for weeks. They still encourage me to wear a mask over it, but I only do when I go outside. No surgery for me for now at least.

And a nice color indeed, especially with the floor.

Why do you need eye surgery, just wondering what might be involved??

Good luck with your eye surgery, Nicole. One down; one to go.

That's neat that you could repurpose your old shelves. That's a very practical place to have them. I love the color.

Thank you for your comment on my blog. Oregon is in such a sorry state. My heart goes out to you and especially the good people of Portland. I'm glad you and Mr. M. are staying safe and comfy at home.

Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen

Good luck with your eye surgery! That shelving unit fits perfectly there, and that is a great color. I've had cinnamon in oatmeal cookies but not cardamon. Sounds nice. Water is always best, I agree. I keep a glass close at hand :) Happy T Tuesday!

I realize you might not be able to read this, but I do hope your eye surgery goes well. Sounds like you've had the other eye 'done' already and know what to expect.
I smiled at your cup of hot water. I know other people that swear by hot water. You are not the only one.
Happy T-Day and all the best with your surgery,
Lisca
A painting with left over paint? That is amazing. It's looking good already!
Well done you for painting those shelves. It is indeed a beautiful colour green, and it fits perfectly there.
