Saturday Garden

Hi Everyone!

Thursday late afternoon and all day Friday and who know about today we have been in a typical Florence, OR. storm.  Friday I got up to see how my garden is doing and boy do gardens like the rain. Everything is so full and GREEN. The flowers are in full bloom and yes the squash in growing like crazy.  I have given much away and eaten more than is normal and tomorrow I will put some up in the freezer. As I write this I have herbs in the oven dehydrating and fresh chocolate mint tea on the stove. I can't tell you how good my house smells.
Here are a few photos of my garden and my haul.😁

The back row is lettuce, celery tips and 3 kids of squash.
The next row is dill, parsley, onion greens, oregano, chocolate mint
thyme and a bit of rosemary.
Then the flowers from my garden that are eatable too but I don't
think I will get Mr. M. to go for that. LOL

Unbelievable garden success! You have a talent and are willing to work. It does take work!

Wow that is wonderful what is blooming and flourishing. Well protected from the wind and rain. The whole table full of delicious herbs!
I can imagine the scent.
Have fun with it!

What a wonderful haul Nicole, your garden is looking beautiful! We've had lots of lettuce and chard, herbs, and a cucumber so far. The tomatoes are starting to ripen now too. My husband is the clever gardener in our house.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Alison xx

Think I need to move over to that bucket gardening on your deck. The chipmunks have been relentless this summer. I've got some tomatoes, but everything else is either being eaten or not growing well due to the drought. Even the tomato plants look terrible. Thanks for sharing. It is great to see such happy plants! Hugs-Erika

Your garden is beautiful. You have outdone mine for sure. We are in a drought, with very hot temps on top. I may lose some of my flowers and bushes...But I am happy for you-you are doing so well!

Oh WOW, Nicole. You put my herb to shame. I love how you have your setup. You truly have a wonderful harvest. I am very impressed. My herbs are SO stressed from the heat and lack of rain, they aren't doing much right now. Not so yours. This is wonderful.

oh! Honor and integrity... let's be friends... what a lovely garden, so lush compared to my dessicated dried out garden (despite twice a day water) in colorado.

I LOVE seeing photos of your garden. Seems the one telling you, that you can't grow anything in this soil, wasn't right. :) Fresh, delicious herbs and veggies! What's better?
