Happy New Year

Hi Everyone!

All things change. When we are young we never think too far ahead. Life is exciting and we are learning how to make our place in the world. All of the world or just our little space in it. We don't think that one day we will wake up old age has changed the look of our faces, the way we walk, the way we feel about things and of course we never think we will be sick, or blind, or deaf. All things change. Getting old brings on some social disappointments too. It is more difficult to make friends, be invited to parties, and the youngsters laugh and have no respect for the year of experience. It is a strange place to be old and as most of you know I DISLIKE it very much. With all of the changes I still feel young in my mind, I still see things with young eyes, and hear my little part of the world with the beauty of my surroundings. All things change and I am hoping, no praying that in 2020 things change for the better.

Wishing all of you the happiest, most beautiful, loving, and healthy 2020

life changes whether in good and bad parts, an up and down unfortunately and the age brings it out even more with health. Only what you make of it yourself and not lose yourself in the past and prefer to live every day that you can get up and look for the most beautiful thing that is important.
I wish you and family all the best for the new year!
greetings Elke

You said what I think. We are anticipating a HUGE change. My grandson lives in LA where his CBD business is going very well plus several other businesses he has including hosting MMA clinics held by some of the top instructors in the sport. He was here for the holidays and went back to finalize a deal on a home for us to live in. He anticipates moving us out there before this summer to a spot on the desert on the CA/AZ border just off the Colorado River. If that falls through....well we will still be moving to whatever he finds for us. It is so exciting for us because we wanted to move to AZ when we were first married but I was scared. At this age...well it's an adventure that we wish we had done when we were younger. Hope you are feeling great.
Happy New Year.
xx, Carol

I can relate fully to what you are saying here. Getting older is definitely not for sissies, lol! I had a scare with my left eye back in December and didn't create anything for over a week. It is scary when you you get to a certain age and things start to happen health-wise. I've been going through this for years, and I still have so many things that I want to learn how to do...learning new ways to be creative. I hope this new year brings many blessings for all of us. Take care, and have a great day, my friend. :o)

You may have noticed I didn’t stop by to visit when you linked to Art Journal Journey, The reason is quite simple. Wednesday evening, just as I was saying good-bye to my dear friends SC and ND who dropped by to wish me a happy new year, my electricity went out. When I looked outside and saw the neighbors across the street, whose lights NEVER go out when mine do were also out, I knew it wasn’t a blown transformer. My friends decided to stay to see what the problem was. Not more than three or four minutes later, we heard sirens, not just police, but fire, too. We knew it sounded close, so we walked in the direction of the sirens. It was quite dark, but my friends had their cell phone lights to guide them. Two blocks west and one block south we saw that someone in a big truck had hit a light pole so hard, it knocked it over and stretched the wire so hard iy broke. That shut the electricity off in the area on one side, while the other side was draped over someone’s house and was zapping live sparks on the ground in the road.

At first we thought it was a drunk driver, but after the ambulance arrived, we saw the man either had a heart attack or possibly a seizure. As the electric company was arriving, they told the crowd it would be at least a day before we would get our power back. Instead of staying home in the freezing cold and dark, my friend SC, who lives in another town, invited me to her home. I am just now getting home. Even though she has an I-Pad, I don’t know the password that gets me onto blogger (which is stored on my computer only). I’ll be back soon, just want you to know why I wasn’t around to visit and check out your awesome art journal entry. Granted, the electricity is on (I’m not sure how long it’s been on), but it’s freezing here. Thanks for understanding, dear. Having said that, I hope you had a lovely New Year and it gets even better in the coming days.
