PPF Long Week

Hi Everyone!

It has been a long week for me. A lot going on including a big sale on my beadwright.com.
I am also not happy with my performance with the watercolor class and it will be the last one I take. I am just not good at it. LOL So to say the least I have not had time to create for PPF until today. I have a friend that wants to buy some art. She explained to me what she wanted and so I came up with this.  The photo shows it blue it is really more black. The cut leather pieces have good texture to them as do the metal pieces. I am so happy she likes them. These were very fun to create and gives me ideas for larger pieces. So that is my story. How was your week?

Watercolour looks deceptively easy but I think it is one of the hardest media to master.

Nice textural art Nicole. I get you regarding the watercolors. I have this love/hate relationship with them. But I'm giving it another try by taking an online class with Laura Horn because I think her style and teaching will be something I can relate to:) Happy PPF!

Oh no, don't give up on watercolor! I took a class where we mostly did landscapes and I sucked...but then I took another class on portraits with a much better teacher and it is by far my favorite medium now!

I have trouble with watercolor too so I tend to go for the messy look rather than neat.

I think you are not alone with watercolours Nicole, it can be hit and miss with many but you are so creative you may find another way that they work for you along your journey. I know the feeling with the long week, the whole month has been like this for me.. Love your shared pieces today & congrats on being this weeks PPF feature.
Hope this coming week is kinder to you. Happy PPF Hugs Tracey xx

watercolour can be tough to learn, but if you are not enjoying the process, no point wasting more time with it :)

I've always had trouble with watercolor too--but it is pastels I have the worst time creating anything worth looking at! I cannot do pastels for all the tea in China! :D As for your artwork--I love these pieces, my Friend. They are wonderful.

I have never tried water colour, but maybe it's something you can try again?

Watercolor is hard.. But don't give up.. Maybe that technique is not your style!
Glad your friend liked the art you created for her!
