Hi Everyone!
I am writing this now and then heading off to my bead meeting. The best people gather every month for beading, food, and friendship. It is a great time, just like Paint Party Friday. Big thanks to Eva and Kristin for hosting the party. I do have some art this week and feel pretty good about it. First, since I have been in quiescence with the lupus I just feel better and better everyday. The great thing is that I have been able to bead again. I still have no feeling in my hands but not having lupus attack my hands has allowed me to bead. Here are the first small cabs I am going for and hurray! I have sold some for components to another bead artist. Life is good.
I was waiting for a phone call this AM and grabbed my oil pastels and whipped up this face over acrylic background.
No it does not smear.
I also got two more leather sculpts finished for my exhibit next month. I need to make my inventory book and write a new artist statement. No one knows how much I dislike writing an AS. uuuhhhgg.
Above and below are actually leather vases. I love them!!!
I am late so that is it for now. Looking forward to seeing all the art this week.

Nicole it's so nice to know you are back beading again as I know what a strain it can be on the hands holding things so small. A family friend suffers terribly with Lupus but she continues on everyday with her cross-stitch, she says it gives her motive to forget those bad days.
You portrait is fabulous as are you leather vases Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful works of art.
