Hi Everyone!
I was speaking with my daughter last week and we got on the subject of daily life. I told her if feels difficult right now. It seems like everything I do, does not go smoothly. We laughed about it saying give it a few days and things will feel differently. Wellllll....... it hasn't changed yet. To make change happen one has to change things. I am doing just that. I will let you know how it works out. Ohhh and I am still laughing through it all. With everything happening, art has been on the back burner. I really wanted to create with some water colors but that will have to wait for now. Thank you for all the tips for that medium. Today I whipped out a drawing so that is what I have for now.
Thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting PPF and to all the artists who join in.

ReplyDeleteHappy PPF and weekend xx
That's a super drawing. I love those eyes. I hope things get better soon. Im my experience things do not change on their own; one has to take action to make change happen. Hope that helps a little. Have a great PPF.
ReplyDeleteGreat portrait! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for things to work out. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you shared your drawing. I think men are very hard to draw..

He is looking so intense and serious, perhaps a bit frustrated too. Hope things take an upturn for you real soon Nicole. Happy PPF!

ReplyDeleteHappy PPF! Rike
Beautiful drawing, keep up your positive attitude, it can only help.
ReplyDeleteYour drawing is amazing. The intense look in the eyes is what I notice first. You have such wonderful drawing skills, Nicole. I think that combined with watercolors would be great (and maybe lucrative). I have been dabbling in watercolors for a number of years now and have found that sometimes things happen just right and other times, not so much. I know I will never have the skills needed to sell paintings so I just give them away or put them in a notebook to save for my kids.
ReplyDeletePowerfully expressive portrait drawing ~
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling ~ some cycles of life seem to last forever ~ I always find it is my attitude partly. Glad you are still laughing ~ xxx
Happy Weekend to you,

Yes, we have to make changes happen! Wise words. And an intriguing sketch! Love it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketch! I love the intensity of the face (perhaps mirroring what is going on in your life now). Hope things smooth out for you soon. Happy PPF
ReplyDeleteFantastic sketch Nicole! Thanks for sharing! Happy PPF :)
ReplyDeletewow, that character you drew really expresses what you're saying in your post. As if things indeed don't go smoothly and he's fed up. Funny how the way we're feeling is often unconsciously shown in the art we make. It always amazes me. Hope things will go smooth again soon! hugs xx
ReplyDeleteThe man in your drawing has a very intense look. You did that expression so well! Glad you are laughing through life's trials. I am excited to see your watercolors! Happy PPF! Hugz, Rasz
