Hi Everyone!
Wow has life been a busy bundle of busy. LOL When my mom passed away a few years ago I brought her PC home with me to take care of her business. The PC was pretty new and mom didn't have much in it. When my PC crashed a few weeks ago. I was, again, so thankful to my mom. I had her PC tuned up and now I am up and running with a like/new PC.

For all my artist friends out there I am looking to try watercolors. Any hints or tips? I have been watching lots of Youtubes on the subject. We will see how this goes. Wish me luck. LOL
For now here is a photo that I took a few years ago on a trip to the south eastern part of Oregon. This tree growing alone on the side of a steep hill. All I could think of was it"s strength to grow out of rock, alone in all it's beauty.

Nicole, glad you are back in the world of computer mayhem........at the moment no mayhem in our lives, but.... I just love the brave tree, my kind of story. I have a picture on actual film of a lonely tree also, maybe I'll have it printed up and show it to you. It was one of those treasure shots, I turned around in a moving truck and grabbed the shot.

waterccolour tip, very rare that you have too much water (unless you are going for a dry look). big brushes are your friend
Hi there Nicole, happy watercolouring! It's a lot of fun and will be lovely to see your work. I'm only a hobby painter but the tip I offer is to give a link to the video (by Joanne Boon Thomas) that really helped me loosen up and enjoy that medium: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=Fg-yNMXLWFo
Your photo of the tree growing against all odds is wonderful!
Cheers and all the best, Sue xx
Glad you're back on line again. That really IS a great picture. An oddity really.
xx, Carol
