Hi Everyone!
Ohhhh myyyy I am swamped today. Along with my daily work and activities I have bead meeting tonight. I also have to leave early for that to get my new glasses adjusted. Ya know how glasses hurt your head behind your ear? Well mine HURT!!! LOL Besides all of that, it is STORMING LIKE A MAD WOMAN OUT. So here goes. First thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday and to all of the artist who join in. Second here is the art I created this week. This is part of my Art Everyday and I am at 68 for 68. Actually I am ahead of the game but will just stay even with the numbers.
Molded leather skull with leather flowers. Her name is Ethel
The leather dries hard and is hollow inside.
Don't know what happened here. This little guy was difficult to draw and everything I tried made it worse. However, it is a learning time.
This one I am very happy with. I am learning how to shade clothing.
Third new product for me. I am always looking for molding materials. While searching the web I found this amazing site. EllimacsSFX
The product is called ellimorph and it is a non toxic molding plastic. It comes in white beads that you simply put into hot water. When they turn clear you start molding. Watch this video. You will be amazed. Now I haven't had much time to play with it but when I did I found that you should have a plan in mind of what you are going to make. It cools off pretty fast. I made a pendant bead and found that I could use a hot tool that I have to spread and blend the ellimorph. I didn't have to put it back into water. I also put a clear varnish on the bead. It is strong, will not break and getting it wet will not distort the bead. I also bought the dies. You get ALOT of die in each package, it is bright and full color. I will be using it for other art pieces. This product comes from Sweden, I received my package in 5 days and the pricing is excellent.

I will show what I have made with this next week.
Off to make tacos then out the door.

Loving your faces! Very excited to check out the new molding product, thank you!
I think your portraits are quite wonderful. Great shading with pencil. And you have captured the expressions so well. I enjoy looking at them.
The molding art is new to me and fascinating.
I hope you get your glasses adjusted to be not noticeable and comfortable again. Have a creative week.
Great portraits! I totally know what you mean about glasses. I just bought some new sunglasses that are doing that. It's the worst! Happy PPF!
Your face drawings are super
Beautiful sketches!
Wonderful impressive art Nicole.
I've always pains with new glasses so know what you mean. Hope they can fix them for you.
Anyway have a great PPF party ❤
You have always so much going on, the pieces you are creating are amazing. I really have to try to draw realistic faces, too. I'll be curious to see what you will be making out of the molding beads.
Stunning portraits! :) Love them all!
I love all your portraits as usual but am so happy to see Ethel. She is quite a creation.
Your portraits are wonderful but I wouldn't want to run into "Ethel" unexpectedly. Happy PPF
Love the skull leather mold with flowers! Really pretty! And of course your faces are always wonderful. My fave this week is the last one with the super shading. Looking great!
It is totally amazing that you are doing a sketch a day. Your faces are so full of joy.
Happy PPF
really fab faces Nicole. And your leather sculptures are always so fascinating. Happy PPF!
Beautiful sketches, Nicole! Thanks for visiting my blog and for the thoughtful comments.
Lovely drawings, and I really like the skull. As for the glasses, sometimes they can really hurt. I've worn glasses for years, but today I got my first pair of vari-focals. My word, what a shock to the system. I think they will take some getting used to.
Your faces are always so expressive! It is always interesting to see what new products you are trying.
Such wonderful art! I too have days when my sketches don't work out as well as I hoped. I am loving seeing your drawings and sculpts, they are beautiful. The new product sounds interesting.
You sound so busy! I would love to get back to daily creating. 68 days is fantastic. Beautiful work as always!
Happy PPF
much love...
ahh so thats the mystery material :) never heard of it before but it looks really interesting :)
Did you save me any tacos??? LOL! I love all your creations this week Nicole! I don't know where you get the time! That plastic stuff is so cool! I think I would be playing with it all the time! Would love to make a crow and a heart! LOL! Big Hugs!
Your faces are awesome, Nicole! Great drawing. Love the teeth. I have never been able to draw teeth. and thanks for sharing the link and video of the plastic magic stuff. That looks like it has so many possibilities.
PS. Where do you get your ideas for the faces you draw? Real life? Magazines? Your own imagination?
Beautiful portraits! I especially love the child laughing and hugging herself.
I love how you give your leather skulls a name :-) Fantastic work with the faces again, and well done with the shading on the clothes. You must learn so much creating something every day. I still don't manage to do that, although I'd like to. But somehow life always gets in the way... Sounds like the weather is still not much better... Wishing you sun and blue skies for next week!
More beautiful portraits.
Wonderful drawings - and your skull is so cool - and creepy!! Can't wait to see what you do with the new supplies! Have a great week!
That laughing both pencil drawing is just so sweet. I also am mesmerized by that exquisite leather skull sculpture that you made. Blessings!
Hi Nicole! I love your creative energy. I can feel it jump right out of the computer and its very inspiring. You're so great at drawing open mouths! I cannot for the life of me draw that! It's always exciting to discover a new product!
