Hi Everyone!

Wow! I have been very fortunate this Christmas with art supplies. My Son sent me a Charcoal set with very nice paper. My daughter sent me a case with 51 pieces of art goodies. I am so blessed with the people in my life who support me in my art to make sure I am well supplied to create.

Hi Everyone!!!

First I want to wish all of you the very best for 2018. It will be an interesting year. Thanks to Eva and Kristen for another year of hosting our party every week. I look forward to a new year of art, to see what all of you will create and sharing it all on Paint Party Friday 

I am ending the year with the feeling that I accomplished and improved quite a bit in my overall art.  For me that is all I can as for.  This year on my Beadwright.com I am making as much elephant art as I can to sell. Every piece of designated art I will donate 10% of the sale to http://www.savetheelephants.org. This is something that is very important to me and my daughter.  I have a few things listed but my site won't reopen until Jan.1  So for the art this week.

Time for a new look

Hi Everyone,

At least once a year (the beginning of a new year) I change up my blog. That is what I did this evening. Made a new banner, changed the number of columns from two to three, the font, colors and so forth. It doesn't take long. However, there are a few quirks with blogger that I can never fix, One is the centering of my banner. It drives me nuts that it is not centered. Also for some reason the font I choose won't stick. Some of the sentences change but not all of the text. uurrrggg.... All in all I am happy with my new look.  Hope all of you had a nice Christmas.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 12/21/17

Hi Everyone!!!

Wow! Can you believe that Christmas is just a few days away and then we go into 2018? My days have been filled with lots of love and encouragement over the last few weeks.  Friends truly can be the best part of ones life. I have missed all of you from last week and can't wait to see what you have all been up to. Right now I have my beadwright.com closed. This has given me time to just play in the art room, get things organized in my house, and just have no stress. I love it!!!! Some of the art I have been playing with is negative space art. I am loving it so much! and it has been selling.

To all who come to my blog I am wishing you a happy Christmas in which ever manner you celebrate, and the best ever 2018. 

Here are my elephants. The texture I am getting is simply amazing and these look so much better in real life. Click on the photos to see the texture.

 I have a space on my wall that has paintings from my mom and grandmother. I wanted to add my own touch to the group and it worked out pretty well. Again great texture.

Like a lot of people I have ravens that decorate my house. My Mom and I have been connected to Raven most of our lives and now that Mom is gone when ever I see a certain Raven in the yard I know it is her. I had this Raven sitting on top of my door to my art room and decided she needed a new home. She now sits in my front living room window.

OK one last thing. I have an idea that I want to try and I needed an old chair. I got this at the thrift store for $8.00 Stay tuned to see how I change this out. I am so excited to get started on it.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 12/8

Hi Everyone!

Wow what a couple of weeks.  Holidays and then a surgical procedure that has left me not 100%. I am doing much better today. Still waiting for biopsies. Enough of that for now. Big thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday. Here are a few things I have been working on.  I really love doing the colorful silhouettes and I have sold a few too.

This Wolf now lives in Texas.

This is acrylics on the new paper I bought that I don't like. I really like how this turned out.

Off to surgery

Hi Everyone!

In a few minutes I am off to the hospital for yet another surgical procedure. I will tell you what the doctor did after I am home. LOL Yeah ya know just want you want to hear. LOL I have been playing with these silhouettes and having so much fun doing it. Here are the last two.  Wish me well today all types and styles of prayers welcome.

This was a difficult study. Hiding the forefingers and thumbs and trying to make this look realist. It is all a lesson.

I bought new paper last week and I DO NOT LIKE IT! 

It is Strathmore

drawing paper but not what I normally buy. It is lighter weight, a different tooth, and it folds or rolls. Shading is much different as well.  Next time I go to town I will get my regular paper.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 11/10

Hi Everyone!

My week, again, has been a whirl wind. I am happy to say that I am handling it well on a lupus scale. Tonight I will be attending our monthly bead meeting. I know I have said it before, but I  can't express how much fun we all have. So I look forward to the night. Tomorrow morning a friend and I are driving into Eugene for an Art and Craft show. I can't remember the name of it but it is at the Willakenzie Grange, if any of my Oregon friends are interested. The weekend off and then it all starts again. LOL  Let me know how your week has been. Paint Pary Friday 11/3

Hi Everyone!

I have had such an enjoyable week. The sun was out with no wind. We have never had as long of and Indian summer as this year and I am loving every minute of it. It is raining now but I feel OK with it. I also got my machines up and running for Nicole's BeadBacking. Thanks to all of you for being patient. Colors are coming in and I do have Midnight Black, Snow White, Dove Grey, and Mocha Cream in stock. Ya know at Beadwright I was able to draw a bit this week and finished a leather piece.
