PAINT PARTY FRIDAY DEC. 30

Hi Everyone!

Happy Paint Party Friday everyone. Wow it is the last party of the year. I am wishing all of us the very best 2017. Let us accept all the love and joy we can and then share it with others. Let us show peace and acceptance through our art. Speaking of art here is a huge thank you to Eva and Kristen who gives so much in hosting our Paint Party Friday. In addition  thank you to all the artists who have encouraged me, blessed me, and have befriended me through this last year. My your lives be filled with happiness, prosperity and most of all love.

Here is this weeks art.
I had fun in the art room this week.
Enjoy!

Leather Sculpt cowhide with glass and shinny dicro lamb hide.
24x15x3" "Ring in the New Year"
The glass hanging in the bowl is a chime when touched.

Leather over wood frame with protruding 3.D face.
Acrylic paint and ink.
12x12x1" No name yet, any ideas?

I recently took an online class where you are to let go and be free with brush and paint. I had this prepared canvas with molding paste texture. I use the line of the paste and went for it. I have had some very positive reactions with this and that surprised. Me.

These are my sketches that I try to do everyday. Some are very fast quick draws. No this not Obama. LOL

I didn't quite capture the light and slight smile in this one.

There is something about this lady that I love.

Finally this little girl.

Bye for Now!

Honor and integrity in art, in life.

Happy New Year Nicole! Here's to an amazing 2017! Sending you lots of love and blessings! I love your art pieces! That leather piece is WOW!! The painting with no name, love the colours! The name I was thinking is "Woman Of Light". I love your faces too! So much feeling in them! Excellent! Take care my friend!

haha, yes, I thought it was Obama :-) I love that leather sculpt with the chime. I'm crazy about chimes, love the sweet tinkling sound they make. Love the canvas with the protruding face too. Somehow to me it's a bit symbolic for what the world is going through right now. It's like the light coming through, but hesitantly. It's a bit hidden, but it's still there. Don't really know how to explain. Wishing you lots of light and creativity in the coming year, dear Nicole. Hugs ♥

Nicole, your leatherwork is unbelievable! Gorgeous! You are talented in so many ways and I love visiting your blog to see what you are presently interested in. Your sketches are all great. I especially like the old lady with hot pink. You caught her expression perfectly. Thanks for visiting my blog. Entering PPF was an afterthought since I really didn't do much over the holidays.
