PAINT PARTY FRIDAY NOV. 4

Hi Everyone!

Wow I do not know where this week has gone. I feel behind in so many things.  I just need to get a grip. LOL  I did join in with AEDM. It is already feeling difficult to keep up and it's only day 3. YIKES.  Plus I am not happy that in the US this weekend is turn the clocks back. My opinion of this? STUPID!! It doesn't help anyone, ohhh except the electric company.
That is my bitch for the week. Here is my art.
I do wish all of you a very happy weekend.
Thank you to Eva and Kristin for hosting Paint Party Friday.

This drawing was done so quickly yesterday it was crazy. I see some wonky spots and maybe later I will work on it more.

I do like this one and am happy I left the hair just outlined.

beautiful portraits! At least this time change gives us an extra hour!

love that second one..I dont like the clocks timing either as it gets too dark for when my sons walk home

Both are very well drawn. Yes, they differ from each others but are beautiful by the own way.
Happy PPF xx

your portraits keep getting better and better Nicole, and that second one is particularly striking. Happy PPF!

The outlined hair gal is perfect. Both are nice but I do love the second. Brilliant.

Wow, the bottom one is really striking without the hair coloured in. Looks really fantastic!

These gals are sassy!
Perfect mood for a Friday! :D
Time flies by but you managed to create and post so cheers to you! :D

I like them both and they both demonstrate how quickly you are perfecting your portrait art. As for being behind, that is standard procedure at my house, so I can appreciate the sense of apprehension you are feeling. You will do fine on your daily art ... it is after all your escape and that just means more escape time ... Have a lovely week, Nicole (in the dark, ha! ...Daylight savings time is supposed to make it lighter in the morning when the kids are walking to school or to the bus )

Both are wonderful, Nicole. I see no wonkiness in the top one at all. I love the way her head is turned.

I totally agree on daylight saving time, silly! Still the same hours of light. :) Your face drawings are wonderful, I especially like the bottom one too! Happy PPF and AEDM

think I already comment on the portraits :)

We also changed the time last weekend and also find it stupid. :(

The second one has a kind of an eerie feel to it with the hair like that. I love it! And I hear you: feeling behind in so many things. It's been like that with me since months ....

wonderful portraits! Good luck with aedm, I did it a few years, it was great.

I hate when the clocks go back. You feel messed up for days after :/

you will do fine with the challenge, dont feel pressured to get it done. You can always catch up or its no big deal if you miss a day. challenges are no fun if you feel too pressured to get them done :)

I like both of your drawings. The second one has contour drawing elements...something I learned this week in my art class.
The time change is something that seems a bit much. I guess it's to help the long dark mornings...and have a long dark early evening instead?

Oh wow! Your second drawings is stunning! Happy PPF

These are both great, but my favorite is the Asian woman too. The pose is so dramatic, which is accentuated by only outlining her hairline. Blessings, my friend!

Wishing you the way you want to spend your time ~

Do what you can do Nicole!! I love the faces, but the second one is very cool!!

I hate the time change thing too!!!!! Totally screws with my biological clock and my disposition :( Love the faces.. I have given up on everyday challenges at least for this year.... just too much stress and I don't need anymore of that.

These are amazing portraits. I love them both. Your skills are developing nicely. I wish they would pick one time - either daylight savings or regular and stick to it all the time. But at least with this one we get to sleep an extra hour! ;)

They're both lovely. I love the peek a boo look of the top one.

Both drawings are lovely, each in its own way. The second one looks like R.C. Gorman's women. I agree with you on the stupidity of DST.
