PAINT PARTY FRIDAY BIRD

Hi Everyone!

I am doing a quick write tonight. I have a bead meeting soon and still need to feed DH. LOL  This week I only had time to get this bird started. Burned on tooling leather. I will color it in this weekend, I hope.  LOL
A big thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting Paint Party Friday.
Update. On Wednesday DH had a liver biopsy. We will know the results in a week or so. I am only thinking positively.

Now for the bird.

First draw it on the leather with pencil.

The burn it on with a wood burning tool

And here is a close up.
 Have a great weekend everyone.

Your bird looks good so far. thanks for your comment on my blog Nicole - we'll be finished in Santa Monica, California so won't make it as far as Oregon but it's definitely on my wish list to do more American state road trips over the coming years - I'd love to get round them all!

It's amazing how many different materials we can play with...leather must be interesting and 'harder' than paper :)
Have a good week!

hi Nicole! I feel like i've been saying this for so long, but i'm gonna say it again: i have SO much catching up to do!! LOL!! Flying by the seat of my pants, although things are quieting down nicely now that I'm done work & that fall is just around the corner. This bird is beautiful. You will show us the 'coloured in' version, right? ;) Happy mid August Nicole! xx
