Hi Everyone!
I know I am posting this on Thursday but I won't have time later tonight.
While going through a box of old art I found some "Car Art" that I did back in 2013,
Car Art is me sketching while on a road trip. It is NOT always pretty with the horrible roads we have here but it is something to do on a long trip. Anyway, just for fun I thought I would try to paint one of the sketches. I found that painting it was not as easy as sketching it. A bit more practice..... I also finished the leather sculpt. I really like these self canvases. I got a few on clearance, they are really expensive.
A big thanks to Eva and Kristin for hosting Paint Party Friday. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Fantastic work again Nicole, it must be hard to draw in the car! I did my PPF post early, too! Happy PPF and a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
So unusual! So interesting! Unique conceptions.
What an impressive face. Love the canvas background.
Happy PPF xx
Super art
I admire you for drawing in the car - the roads here are pretty bumpy too and I certainly wouldn't be able to draw anything and have it resemble what it's meant to be! I don't mean to hijack your post but you asked about where you could see me at work and I can't reply to your email as it's a no reply comment thingie - if you use Facebook my page NicseARTh has a couple of timelapse videos I did a while back or they're on YouTube as well. Have a great weekend.
Oh my... I can't imagine drawing in the car. Well yes I can actually but I know for sure that it wouldn't be pretty!
Great artwork as always. Happy PPF to you
WOW! I cannot draw in a train, not to mention a car! Great piece!! <3
I'm still impressed with your car art. I've done doodling in the car, but have never attempted shadowing like you do. I really like the surreal feel of your leather relief sculpture composition. Your use of texture is marvelous as usual too. Happy PPF!
Looks like an alien. I love it! Car art is an interesting term. I want to try it. :) Erika
I can't imagine drawing anywhere, especially a car!! The pencil drawing reminds me of the pictures of aliens from the 70s. Wonding what you were thinking when you were sketching.
xx, Carol
Wow, how great is that? Beautiful art!! I have never drawn in the car - probably because I usually take my knitting along... xoxo Silke
You do marvelously well at drawing in the car, Nicole! I like the painted rendition and your wonderful sculpture.
Your car art is cool, as is the painting. I like how you've presented the leather sculpt. Have a wonderful weekend!
Luv the expressive face of the car art
Happy PPF
much love...
Amazing technical drawings. . wrinkles and expression. Blessings, Janet PPF
Nice work! I can't do that in a car, it makes me feel sick!
Looks fabulous, the drawing and the painting! I can never draw in the car. I think ours must be very bumpy.
Wow that's pretty good car art if you ask me!! Lovely work!

Wow, beautiful, the sketch as well as the painting! That background goes so well with the face....
Very cool Nicole! I love your art! It is so unique! I love it! Hugs!
Your work is just stunning, the sketch so expressive and that leather sculpp is so innovative!
Wonderful work with the lines and shading on this face! I wish I could do car art but I tend to get car sick if I try to read or draw, alas!
What an interesting portrait... it really grows on me.
I would never be able to draw in the car...just like I can't read or even crochet in the car anymore because of motion sickness. Makes for very long trips.
DIdn't mean to hit publish yet DA!!! Your face is very surreal an the mask is fantastic too ♥
Both gorgeous. I admire you for sketching while on a road trip. I have tried but get car sick so I stick to looking at the scenery. xo

Car art! I love it. You did a great job, considering the "moving" car! That leather sculpt is amazing. Have a wonderful week Nicole! xx
Wow, I can't do anything while in the car, that's very impressive! I hadn't heard of that kind of canvas before, it looks great for your art with the 3d quality.
Oh, I couldn't draw in a car - I'd get sick. You did great job.
Have a creative week ahead!
Two questions. Was the car moving and were you driving? LOL Wonderful work.
