Hi Everyone!
Here it is time for Paint Party Friday. I got so hooked on 29 Faces, that I am still drawing faces every evening. However, I wanted more realistic features so I am taking my time and getting lines and shading done better.
A huge thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting PPF.
This second drawing was created by my DH. I really love this critter and had to share it.
There is quite a lot of detail.
I know it is early but wishing all of you a happy Weekend.

Excellent! This is so awesome! The next one is in Sept ;o) ♥
Hi Nicole, The face is great. And I love your grasshopper!
The face looks really good to me, and the insect is a fun one which I also love to make. Congrats on winning over at my site.
Such intensive eyes!
I switched over to abstracts after faces :D
how nice to be able to sketch together!
Love the delicate face and features and love the shared critter. You inspire me.
Awesome sketches Nicole!
Love your latest face. Such expressive eyes.
I love that quirky little critter. Very cool.
Happy PPF
Your face looks great. I am still struggling with getting the shadows right. Somehow they almost always look a bit off. I need to study more faces I guess :)
I love your face AND the critter! I am taking a couple of drawing classes online and I have the hardest time with them. To draw well takes time. And I am sooooo impatient! But I'm determined to stick with it. Yours looks wonderful!! xoxo Silke
Beautifully sketched Nicola and your DH sketch is great too.
I can imagine you both engrossed every evening sketching together.
Happy PPF to you

Lovely work with the shading! (If you have any interest in videos for working in pencil, there is a fellow on youtube called Proko who has really wonderful tutorials). Your DH's critter is cool!

Excellent face. . . nose and eyes are difficult. . you have it. My late husband was an artist too. It is wonderful to share a passion with your loved one. Blessings, Janet, PPF
Great study, especially the details in those eyes! And a very fascinating critter!
your face reminds me of what I used to do when I was young. I wonder if I can do it today. Thanks for sharing. :)
