BEYOND YOUR DREAMS KNITTED ART MUST SEE

Hi Everyone!

Last week my good friend and wonderful bead artists, Debbie Peterson invited me to see a small art exhibit at our local library. The art medium was knitting so we were both excited to see who created what. To our surprise there was only one artist, Louren Wold. Her art was displayed at the back of the library and as we walked through the rows of neatly shelved books we got our first glance. We both stopped is awe. Believe me this is not your grandmas, knitting.  Hold on to your seat this is exceptional art. Every stitch is near perfection.  Hope you enjoy.

If you click on the photos you will see the details

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 3/25

Hi Everyone!

I am not sure where this week has gone but when I woke up this morning I thought OMG PPF and I have nothing to show. Well kinda..... I posted a few days ago that a dear friend asked me to design a Pot Leaf bead pattern for her. I did and then thought I really need to test the pattern. I pulled out some beads thinking how the heck am I going to do this with lupus hands. I have no feeling in my hands. Hmmm I rubbed some bees wax on my fingers to keep the needle at least in my hold and went for it. Now I use to be a very fast beader, I mean "fast" so when it took me two flippen days to bead a two inch piece I was upset.  I am not one to give up easily though. I spoke to myself saying,  "You have been a bead artist for some 50 years, it is second nature, there is a rhythm to your craft so just do it!" I closed my eyes and began to bead. I of course opened them too ha ha ha..... but it was there, that natural ease of needle picking up a single bead and sewing it in place. That feel of peace in my soul as one row, two rows and then the last row finished.
The satisfaction that lupus doesn't get to win this one.
I already have bead patterns for Pot Leaf Jewelry and now for lighter covers.
Some one all ready asked if I smoke. No I don't, but it is legal here in OR.
Thanks to Eva and Christen for hosting Paint Party Friday

BEADING PATTERNS BEADED YAY

Hi Everyone!

Most of you know that bead art was my life, passion, and how I made my living for most of 50 years. I was very fortunate to be in on he ground floor of the bead art explosion having some 400 published articles, my own books, taught beading for over 20 years all over the country and in in two other countries. So when I say beading was my life it was. About 5 years ago lupus started to take over my hands, making it difficult to bead. I eventually had to stop beading. I am still very much apart of the beading world, with my Nicole's BeadBacking, Looms by Mike and my beading patterns. I still give instructions and help people with beading. I said all of that to get to the real story......... A dear friend and beader wrote to me asking for a special pattern for her son's best man. It was one of my pot leaves and the man's initial for a lighter cover.  No problem I have been wanting to do this for sometime and now I had the reason to go forward with it. The patterns need to be tested so I made a few up for myself, pulled out some beads and set up on the kitchen table. I can't feel the needle or thread much less the beads. So I rubbed bees wax on my fingers in hopes that the needle would stay put. Well it worked a little bit. I did manage to bead two new lighter covers. Something that in the past would have taken me a few hours took me two days. It also reminded me how much I miss beading.
So here are my two new patterns and the beaded pieces.
Patterns can be purchased in my Beadwright Etsy or my Beadwright.com both places are instant down load.

The hot pink and hot green on black is to pretty.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY 3/18

Hi Everyone!

I am writing this on Thursday evening so when I say it is my DH birthday it is for March 18.  I was looking at photos of him when he was young and "daaaammmmm" he was good looking. I was better looking back then too.  LOL  I like that we are growing old together, that it doesn't matter if he has 18" biceps and could pick me up and swing me around. Every day he tells me I am beautiful and I think "OMG" for him it doesn't matter that I am not a size 4 any longer with long flowing hair.  Our history has taken us on so many adventures and good or bad we have come through them together. Our perceptions of each other have just matured, grown closer and advanced to the next stage. I really dislike getting old but I am glad I have him to do it with. Happy Birthday Babe!

I have been really busy developing some new beading kits. I did manage to get a back ground painted, I have something very specific I want to finish this with. So just a small WIP and a new pattern for
Please stop by to visit the other artists who share their art every week.

I have created several Pot Leaf beading patterns for jewelry, this one is a lighter cover.
The kits will be out this next week.

Wishing everyone a very happy weekend.

Hi Everyone!

I am overwhelmed with the response to my request for good vibes, positive energy and prayers.  I believe with all my heart that if people agree, send out good energy, light a candle, whisper it on the wind or just think it for a moment it changes the atmosphere of ones life. Things were pretty dark here with medical dealings, but once all of you fine people started to send goodness, things did begin to change. I am a spiritual person as is my DH, and we could feel the energy, the life force, the wonder of change coming to us. It is not quite over but the situation has been cleared up and we can now move forward. Thank you to all of you who help us. Only good will come back to you and in the most unexpected way. If we can keep this
going I know this will end in a positive result.
Today I am sending a blessing to all of you.
It doesn't matter what your belief system is we all strive for light and goodness in our lives.

May the sun bring you new energy by day.
May the moon softly restore you by night,
May the rain wash away your worries,
May the breezed blow new strength into your being,
May you walk gently through the world and know it's beauty all the days of your life.
This is a Native Blessing

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY MARCH 11

Hi Everyone!

Last year I kept telling myself that 2016 has to be better. I was sure of it, planned on it and expected it. With great dismay this year so far has sucked, sucked and sucked. LOL I am laughing and trying to keep a positive attitude, but if one more thing goes haywire I am going to stand out in my yard and just scream........ No need for details, however if any of you would please send positive energy my way I would appreciate it beyond words. With all that is happening there has been NO time for art. This is a painting I did last year. I call her my "Crazy Eye'd Bird"  She looks how I feel. Frazzled and upset. LOL
I think I will go clean my house, that always makes me feel better. OMG!!!! Laughing as I walk down the hall way.
Big thanks to Eva and Christen who hosted Paint Party Friday.  Be sure to stop in and see the other artist who join in.

Wishing all of you a happy weekend.

A huge thanks to Eva and Kristen for hosting PPF

This second drawing was created by my DH. I really love this critter and had to share it.
There is quite a lot of detail.
