PPF PAYING IT FORWARD AND INSTANT KARMA

Hi Everyone!

Another week has whizzed on by. Monday we drove over to Springfield for some food shopping and to check out the grand opening of Hobby Lobby. OK,  I am very aware of how some people feel about Hobby Lobby, so please keep your comments on this matter for another time, thank you. I wanted to see what prices they had in comparison to Michael's and Ben Franklin's.  Remember I have to drive 70 miles one way just to get to these places. I have to tell you that I was highly DISAPPOINTED. The prices on the items that I am interested in were sky high from what I can get them at Michael's. We only stayed maybe 15 minutes in the store then drove a few blocks over to Michael's where we got everything we were looking for at considerable lower prices.  As I was checking out an older woman was trying to buy two books on coupons. The coupons did not cover books. So she opted to only buy one. In the mean time I was taken to the next register. This put the first cashier's back to me. I tapped her should and asked how much that book is the older woman couldn't buy. She said $7.99. I said I will buy it for her. The older woman was amazed and thanked me over and over again. While my cashier was checking me out she said here I have a %50 off coupon for you. I just looked at her with delight and said, "Thank you, it all works out doesn't it?" I was feeling pretty good all the rest of the way home. Do you have a karmic pay-it-forward story? Let me know in the comments below.

I am sharing with Paint Party Friday. Thank you Eva and Kristin.
I have not showed any "car art" lately so here are two piece. These are sketches I do in the car, Makes that drive to town so much better. No I am not driving Ha ha.

Welcome To My Rain Forest. Acrylic abstract on 12x24" canvas

Just playing around with 14x16" acrylics on canvas. Reminds me of a place I use to live in Idaho.

I love that story... Things definitely do have a way of working out :)
I'm impressed at the art you can get done in the car (your roads must be a lot smoother than ours! lol)

What a wonderful person are you! I've never been in a HL store, but glad we have Michael's right here in town. I often ask if they have an extra coupon at the counter and love it when they say yes! My favorite give it forward story was when a stranger paid my bridge toll, so I paid for the car behind me. I often wondered if it stopped with me or kept going!
I found some nice brush markers at Barnes & Noble today. Inexpensive!
Your art is intriguing!

Beautiful art and story...I have too many pay it forward karma stories to mention...but that is exactly as it happens! So does my daughter and son in law! I wished more people could understand how important these acts of kindness are!!

wonderful work Nicole! Your sketches have a mythical quality and I just love the waterfall abstract. What a great story of your experience at Michael's too.

Your car art is spooky and delightful.
I don't think I have been to Hobby Lobby but I think Michael's prices are skyhigh. I buy all my art supplies online, at the Dollar Store or Walmart.
Happy PPF!

Love your story in Michaels. We have a new Hobby Lobby too and I haven't been that impressed. Love the waterfall painting or at least it looks like a waterfall. Where in Idaho did you live?

I love that pay it forward story. I have done this in grocery stores before -- dropped money in for a family struggling. Nice to see you making marks. IF I am going to go with the box stores I do Michaels.

What a lovely story of paying it forward. Your car art is really amazing and free. I love that you keep your life and attitude so positive--it really shows in your work. Your rain forest is sheer joy! Glad I've had a chance to catch up and see what you have been up to--your leather faces are awesome. I appreciate your kind words on my blog so very much. They mean the world to me. xoxo

wow, that car art is amazing! I can't even write in a car ... Or maybe the roads are just bad here ;-)
So kind of you to buy that book for that old lady ♥

Wonderful story - and your rain forest is my favorite this week!! Our Hobby Lobby is much cheaper on most things than Michael's, but online is where I find the best deals and only shop at the physical store in a pinch! Happy PPF!

how cool, making drawings in the car. I could never do that, I´d be motion sick. Love your imagination. And the two acrylics are very nice. They means travelling to me :)

What a wonderful story, kindness always seems to work out that way. I am amazed that you can create car art, I don't think I could do that. I really love your paintings this week, beautiful!

What an absolutely wonderful story! It really did work out just beautifully. Great drawings your paintings are gorgeous. I especially like your abstract. I've always loved abstracts but haven't done any for some time, but have been inspired to do some again.

Beautiful story1 I have found the selection and prices at Michaels better than Hobby Lobby.

Wonderful car art! My favorite is the bird. It looks like it knows where it is being driven to.

Thanks for visiting my blog and for the lovely comment.
