ART STOLEN SOLD ON WALMART SITE

Hi Everyone!

Most of you know that I have had articles and other copyrighted items stolen from magazine editors and other artists. Dose it anger me? Beyond what you could imagine. For many years I have asked Etsy to please set in place a "no right click" on photos that are displayed by sellers. To date they have refused to accommodate sellers. I am not the only one asking for this. So when I read this article and saw the video I had to share with all of you. The person from Canada who has stolen art work to make a profit from it should be shot. Yes I said shot! It amazes me when people from other countries tell me that copyright doesn't pertain to them because they don't live in the US. That is so far from the truth. Anyway before I go on a tangent please take a few minutes to watch this video. If you are a seller on Etsy, Ebay, Dwanda, Artfire or any other on line site that doesn't support "no right click". Then WRITE to them and ask for it!

I had my art stolen, then offered forsale on another Etsy site, that was why I closed my Etsy, I have had blogging friends print my art off frame it and then show pictures o their kitchen with my paintings on their walls, its disgusting, I hadn't heard about the Canadian saying the rules don't apply to other countries but I know I am Canadian and I got burned three times and I bailed, I have been asking Etsy to have a no right click to no avail, I water mark my work on my blog but that can be removed now so I have been told, what really burned me was the woman made more money from my prints than I did, yes that hurt, no more for me, I only sell my work locally,

Hi Nicole. This happens all the time. Unfortunately so. That's the bad part of the Internet. Whatever is put on the internet becomes public domain and apparently, even though a (c) is placed on the drawing or painting, there are thieves everywhere. Hope you are doing good. I am enjoying my time off. Take care.
