PAINT PARTY FRIDAY FACES IN FACES

Hi Everyone!

I know it is Thursday but I will post this now. I am in a creative mode and have lots of things on my easel and art table that I want to work on.
I thought I would show you two more paintings that I painted over and then one with a question. Not a hard question more of a fun question.

So this painting, I loved the red! ( you know my favorite color)  But the more I worked on it the more I saw a huge flaw and I didn't know how to fix it. So I painted over it.
This was just a fun experiment with movement. Yes I painted over this one too.

Now for the questions.
Do you remember this painting? It has Red Gold Leaf in it.
I never like this one. Looks to much like under the sea.

So I did something fun with it. Ready?

I decided to make the under sea painting a bit darker and created faces. Some you can see right off. Some are hidden and you have to re focus your eyes, some are faces within faces within faces.
How many faces can you find in this painting?
Have fun.

I adjusted the hue to bring out the lighter colors so you can see the faces better on line
Now tell me how many you see. LOL

I am linking with the wonderful ladies of Paint Party Friday, Eva and Kristen.
Be sure to stop by to see all of the artists who so graciously share their art.

Love your alterations, especially the last one. I am busy repainting and changing things, too. Hugs, Valerie

You are great with colors, which I think is very key in abstracted art. I'm not sure how many faces are in there, but I very much love the warmth of your reds.

I found at least a dozen faces and am sure that I must have missed some! This is just brilliant!

I to love the warmth of the reds. I see a few faces in there. I think I counted 4 or so. Very interesting. I like them all actually. Great work.:)

Really? I was pretty sure of five faces! A dozen? More? I must return and look some more!
I really like the water and motion in the tornado looking painting!

You are certainly being ruthless with your art at the moment! I actually really liked the under the sea painting as it was-those fabulous colts! It's definitely moodier now and the faces within faces concept is very clever.

Love the movement in the first two...wow they are so cool...looks like some cows or other animals are floating down the river in the first one...Great transition on the faces...Wonderful post!!

Love all the colors. And I love the red and gold leaf. I think you made the under the sea much more rich by darkening a bit.

great to see how you adapt and develop the canvases... I used to have a teacher at college who said you aren't painting over, you are developing and furthering the work... as to the number of faces... where are the 15???? that is going to do my head in

I find it very hard to fix something...only thing is to hide a work and return to it later...
I could see only one face, snif. But better one than none :)
Happy weekend!

Love these paintings ! The colors are truly beautiful and first one reminds me of bright red corals in the deep blue waters of the ocean ..... . And the composition in the pink one is fantastic too !

This was fun Nicole. I saw four faces. I love the red in the first painting. It is always so interesting to see how you change your work when you are not happy with it. I am never sure what to do next so I move on. Maybe I should trying reworking things and see what happens.
Have a great week!

Nicole, isn't it amazing, when we paint over a painting. I have done that several times! And, I am always so happy I did ;o)
I saw 12 like Debbie, but there is more? I have to look again ;o)
Hope all is well ;o)
Big Hugs xoxoxoxo
(I'm still looking! LOL!)

I had to click on it to see it. Wonderful addition. "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents." ~ Bob Ross. Yes, I have to keep reminding myself that too. Blessings, Janet PPF

I love all the fun experimenting you've been doing lately. As to the face, it's kind of late and I'm tired, but I believe there's at least 7 faces. Have a great weekend, my friend!

Enjoy your creative mode!

I see a lot of faces, but don't want to count them, I just feel them and they are great, and a bit spooky, too :D

I think that it will one day be fun when someone x-rays our paintings to see all of the paintings hidden underneath! Wonderful - happy PPF!
