THE KENAI FIRE PHOTOS

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for all of your comments, emails and most of all prayers for the firefighters including my brother. Kenai got a bit of rain and cooler temps, that helped a lot. The smoke is still horrendous. I know some people were allowed to go home. Here are a few ire photos.

gruesome beauty?

or
is it the fire holding onto the stump?

Oh that is so awful. Very scary but you are right about the beauty. Best wishes to all.

This looks awful, So sad that such things happen. Hope all the people and the fire-fighters helping them stay safe, they are so brave. Hugs, Valerie

The photos show both the wrath and the beauty of nature. It will take many, many years but I hope the forest regrows. Of course, the most important wish is that everyone be safe.

life is certainly mysterious. meaning - in death, life begins anew. sometimes we think of destruction as just that - destruction, death, decay - and we are sad for awhile. however, i have learned to accept that new beginnings come about in loss. wonderful opportunities can come from challenges. hope all are safe. cheers!!

I am glad things are improving. It is a wild and bleak beauty that the fire leaves with it's desolation...
