Hi Everyone!
It is Paint Party Friday already. This has been a hectic week. Glad the weekend is almost upon us.
Not that there is much difference between my days it just feels better on the weekend. LOL
I want to thank Eva and Kristin for hosting Paint Party Friday. If you have never clicked on the link to see the other artists, I encourage you to do so. I feel so honored to be apart of a showing with so many wonderful people. We all take a step and put our creations out for the world to see. That takes a lot of courage. There is something truly wonderful in each piece of art that is displayed.
Let the artists know that.
So I have been painting a LOT. I do 8 minute warm ups before I get into the "real" art. I have been into trees lately. Come on you all know I am a weirdo and I get hooked on "things" so it has been trees. I am still working everyday on abstract art too. That is so hard for me. siiigghhhh....
At this PPF I have two small paintings to share with you.
This is an 8x10" Acrylics on canvas
These are 12x9" acrylic on canvas.

Love your trees, and especially the first one. In that piece there might be a storm coming or it may be the loveliest sunny day. I so much like it when it's up to me to decide. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLoving your fabulous trees Nicole, so full of energy. Annette x

ReplyDeletepretty nice blog, following :)
ReplyDeleteHello Nicole, I like idea of a little warm up before beginning. Your trees are smashing. I especially love the side by side trees on your shelf. They feel mysterious and exciting at the same time. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many abstract shapes in nature, you may want to continue down this path of trees. I love the energy and movement you've captured here. I love trees and draw them often, so I'm always delighted to see great trees like these. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletebeautiful work on the tree paintings!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I am smitten by that diptych! Okay, maybe I just want it to be a diptych when it isn't technically, but I love the word - almost as much as I love those canvases! The bark is just spectacular, as is their overall shape and sense of movement, as if you can imagine just how they've grown.
ReplyDeleteTrees are such a lovely thing to paint and you've captured their essence perfectly.
ReplyDeleteNicole these are gorgeous! I love the color blends....very pretty! I love trees so much...once bought a house for the tree in the front yard....of course I loved the house too...but that was the clincher!

Nicole, love the movement in your tree paintings. In the first one I love all the blossoms and the slightly grumpy stormy sky. The second one is more a timeless symbol or happiness, nature and all that is right with the world. Thanks for sharing. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's weird at all to get into things such as a motif in your artwork. I believe it's a way to sharpen your skills in an area of interest, and it's obvious that your tree painting skills are perfect, based on your beautiful paintings. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteLove the back-to-back trees, lovely!
ReplyDeletelovely paintings Nicole!!!! you have a way with colour!!!
ReplyDeleteNicole,
ReplyDeleteI also have a passion for trees. The way they bend and sway, the way the change throughout the year, the texture and personality each have, the faces I see in their trunks...
My favourite tree of yours is the yellow tree, because of all its texture and depth. It reminds me of a willow tree.
Thanks you for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a kind comment.
In appreciation,
Renee
Hi Nicole! It's so nice that you mention how hard it can be to put our art out into the world for all to see. That comment made me feel courageous and thank you for that. I love trees and yours are beautiful! I also get stuck on "things". Mine right now are faces and leaves. Happy PPF and thank you for the visit and your wonderful post. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteNicole your trees are beautiful, so bright and full of Spring breezes!
ReplyDeleteI love your trees especially the red ones. The red against the black give them such a 'wow' factor. Thanks for your visit.
ReplyDeleteAmazing trees! One of the things I want to learn better is painting. I'm not very good with paintbrushes. Your artworks is always inspiring. :)
ReplyDeleteDelicious creations, lovely trees! Fine paintings!
ReplyDeletelovely and inspiring paintings, Nicole. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love your trees, the first one has a mysterious quality and I like the mirror effect in the second pair. Both are beautifully painted.
ReplyDeleteNicole your trees are beautiful! Love the white blossom tree, a very ethereal feel to it. I suppose I am just as weird since I am into eyes but trees are another favourite of mine, especially spooky and fairy kind.Keep painting them for each one is unique.
ReplyDeleteAnnabelle : )
Awesome trees! They look so lively I completely understand about being hooked on trees .. good time of year, too
ReplyDeleteI love the 8 x 10, it looks like a forest scene, but I also see a face (blue) or is it suppose to be a rock. Lovely pictures. Blessings, Janet PPF
