UP DATE UP DATE
Just as I posted this Lori emailed me with this site. Ahhh the wonders of the Internet. After days of trying to find this berry Lori found this site. Mystery solved

The plant is Clintonia uniflora
Still leave a comment if you have seen this plant in your area

Hi Everyone!
I can't believe this summer (AAAhhh what summer) is just about over. Kids are back in school in some places and it will soon be time to get ready for those cooler days and night. As most of you know
Lori Cook Culligan and I have been very good friends for 14 years or more. She was out and about in my old neck of the woods in North Idaho last weekend when she came across a low bush berry that she had not seen before. She snapped a photo and sent it off to me. As much time as both Lori and I have spent in those woods and mountains neither of us have ever seen this particular plant and berry. I have written to the Coeur d' Alene plant association with no word back yet. So I am asking any of you do you know what this fruit plant is? The color of the berry is soooooooo blue.
It may not be native to North Idaho so any help from any part of the country will be so appreciated.

Interesting plant! I'll check on FB, as there are some some among my friends who might know.

Glad you found out what the plant is. I've never seen berries in that shade of blue before--they're really pretty!

What can it be used for? Do you know? Or is it poisonous?
